It was the first day of first grade, and Annabelle Soland, everyone called her Anna, was worried she won't make friends that year because she transferred to a different school. Her parents had to literally push her to make her go through the door. Her long, blond and curly hair was bouncing off of her formal striped dress and tan skin, since they lived in Florida. The classroom was very shiny and new with quaint desks and chairs so they would fit perfectly.
One girl walked up to Anna. She had a turquoise dress and her long, blond hair was straight and long, and she had a very small tan, noticeable if you pointed it out.
"Hi! You must be new here. I'm Alyssa Kawe," she held her hand out, and Anna took it.
"I'm Annabelle Soland, but you can call me Anna." They shook hands for about 10 seconds straight, as younger kids don't know when to let go. "Anna, let's meet my friends, Lexi and Ashley. Be careful around Lexi though, because she gets a little angry about things." She led her to two girls, one that had mousy brown hair in a bob. She seemed a little upset, so she assumed it was Lexi. "Alyssa, you made me wait for too long and Ashley was being annoying when she was asking me questions about Ms. Hibs." Ashley Tare had short, curly, auburn hair and was medium-pale. She looked a little annoyed, but her face displayed she was always like this.
DING the school bell rang. Ms. Hibs started talking. "Okay, class, I put your names on the back of your seats, and this is who you're going to sit by for the year. Anna, Alyssa, Abby, and Ashley will sit here." She continued, but none of the girls listened.
"Hi, I'm Abigail Kris, but you can call me Abby because it takes less time to say." She said, her brown hair in a neat ponytail, light olive skin.
