I yanked my schedule out of my book bag, "God. Chemistry? Really?" I hate Chemistry. Always have, always will.
I grabbed my Chemistry book out of my locker and walked towards the familiar science room.
As soon as I walk in, I'm already lectured. "Mrs. Manshire, care to explain why you're late?"
"She was flirting with Michael," a stupid girl shouted.
"Ariana?" The teacher looked at me shocked.
What was so bad about him anyways.
"No, thank you, my locker got stuck and he was next to me and I asked for help. Considering none of you would've helped me."
"Okay, I'll let it slide because it's the first day back," said the teacher.
I rolled my eyes and found a seat in the back next to Luke Hemmings.
I went to sit over there and slung my bag onto the two stool desk and sat down.
"Hey," he said softly.
"Hi..." I replied awkwardly. Of course he didn't say anything back.
"Alright students, get your Chemistry books out."
In sync, everyone pulled out their books.
"Alright, I know most of you but we have a new student, Luke Hemmings. You don't have to be his friend, but be nice," She said looking at his image in disgust.
He looked like a bad boy, so did Michael. Maybe that's why she was so shocked.
"Hmm, Ariana dear, come up here and pass out the assignment to class please."
Are you kidding me? Work on the first day?
I slowly stood up and grabbed the papers from her hand. I started to pass them out.
When I got to the table with that stupid girl, she knocked the papers out of my hand and 'apologized.'
"Hey, let me help you," I heard someone say kneeling with me to pick them up.
It was Ashton. I never have had classes with him, so we've never talked really.
"Thanks," I smiled at him as he handed me the last few. He exchanged one and I stood up.
The girl looked a little jealous, maybe she liked him, but she immediately apologized sincerely.
Instead of ruining her chances, I knew Ashton didn't see her knock them out of my hands.
I smiled at her after looking at him and said, "It's okay Ashley, you didn't mean to."
She looked a little surprised as I walked back to my seat.
"Way to drop them papers..." Luke said looking at his shoes.
"She knocked them out...I let it go."
"That's nice of you.." he said quietly. As soon as the bell rang he shot out of the room.
Ashley ran up to me.
"Hey..Ariana, I'm sorry for being rude. And clearly I like Ashton..so thanks back there. He said it was sweet of me to apologize. So sorry, Ari. Can we be friends?
"Sure. No problem," I smiled at her as we walked out, with our crap, together.
To be honest, I wasn't that mad at what she did, I would've done it too if she said that rude remark to me.
Next was math. Probably the only subject I like that I suck at.
"Hey Calum," I said walking up to him, "Do we have ANY classes together?"
We called allowed our periods, sadly we didn't but one, which was computer(if you sign up for it) but the stupid teacher usually assigns seats.
I frowned. "It'll be ok. We still have lunch," he put his hand on my shoulder.
"It's not the same..." I looked down as he hugged me. I hugged back.
Calum and I just never see each other as much anymore. "Let's hang out tonight? My place?"
"Sure, I gotta ask my dad if we have any plans."
"Alright! I gotta get to English, the bell's gonna ring soon! Bye!" He punched my shoulder softly as he walked away.
"Bye..." I turned around and accidentally ran into Michael, dropping my books as I fell.
"I-I'm so s-sorry...." He said kneeling down picking up my stuff.
"No no it's my fault. It's fine, I-" "I'm sorry...." He helped me up and handed my stuff to me and ran off with his bag.
"Bye...?" I walked to math.
Why is it that I love math, but suck at getting a high A, but I hate English but get a high A?
I felt bad for Michael. Whenever he is around me he gets nervous.
And all I hear is gossip in the halls about how him and Luke are these 'Bad Boys...'
So why would a bad boy be nervous around me?
