"Maddi wake up!"Hermione screams.
"What do you want? I'm tired." I moan.
"Everyone else is already at breakfast and there is someone you have to meet." Hermione informs me.
"Fine." I give in as I throw my robes on and get ready.
I look over and see Bri's bed is empty, she has been acting weird since last night when she said she didn't want to come to the boys dormitories last night. "Where's Bri?"I ask Hermione.
"No clue, I woke up and she was gone." She replies.
"Oh, so who am I meeting?" I inquire.
"Ginny, she's a 1st year and she's really nice." Hermione says as she leads me toward the stairs into the common room, but stops at a door right next to it and walks in. Sitting on a bed is a girl with red hair, a bit darker than Ron, George, and Fred's; but still red.
"Hi, nice to meet you, I'm Ginny, Ginny Weasley." The girl says.
"Nice to meet you too, I'm Maddi, Maddi Paige. I think that your name is really pretty." I say.
Ginny blushes, "Thank you."
"C'mon guys let's go to breakfast." Hermione buts in, " And Maddi you still haven't told me what Seamus said to you last night!"
"Fine, I will tell you, all he did was ask me to the ball." I say.
"What'd you reply?!" Gasps Hermione.
"Yes of course, there's no way that I want to go with Malfoy now." I chuckle.
"Well, you wouldnt be going with Draco anyway because he already asked me!" A voice from behind me said. I spin around and see that it's Brianna.
"I think you're forgetting that he already asked me twice, and I said no twice." I retort.
"Whatever, he hates you now." Brianna says smugly.
"Like I care!" I scream.
"So you wouldn't care if I told him that you have a crush on him?" Bri asks faking a sweet voice.
"No, I wouldn't." I reply, my voice full of confidence. Bri, Hermione, and Ginny look at me in shock.
"In front of every student in the school?" Bri asks.
"Sure, whatever, go for it." I say, acting like I could care less.
Bri stomps off screaming, "Oh, I will!"
"Why did you say that?" Hermione asks in shock.
"Because I'm pretty sure Draco knows that I must really hate him to try to get him in trouble with Snape!" I laugh.
Hermione and Ginny burst out laughing. "C'mon, I don't wanna miss Brianna trying to prove this."I say, starting to run to the Great Hall with Ginny and Hermione running right behind me.
I sit next to Seamus and Ginny and then after a couple of sneaky looks at each other, Ginny, Hermione, and me start bursting of laughing.
"What's so bloody funny?" Ron asks.
Hermione whispers the conversation Brianna and me had in Ron's ear and Ron joins us laughing.
"What is it?!?" Harry and Seamus ask in unison.
After all our friends know what's happening, more then half of the Gryffindor table is cracking up. Why is it so funny? Because I got Harry to give Fred and George his invisibility cloak And then when Bri walks in, with so much confidence on her face, it's all we could do to not fall out of our seats. She starts walking over to the Slytherin table, very slowly, and I decide that she isn't going to be embarrassed enough, but there is nothing I can do about it.
"Hey Draco!" She announces loudly while sitting next to him.
"Please go sit at your own table." Draco says, obviously not wanting her anywhere near her.
"I just thought that you would like to know something." She states casually.
"What is it?" Draco snaps, losing his patience.
"That Maddi has a huge crush on you!" She chirps then walks away. Little did she know she was walking straight into my trap. I look over at Draco from across the hall and see him blushing.
"AH!" Brianna shrieks at the top of her lungs because out of nowhere, some "mysterious" dung bombs went off. The whole Gryffindor table starts cracking up, but quickly stops when we realize that Mcgonagall and Snape were standing right in front of Maddi,Harry, Ron, and the now visible Weasley twins, who set off the dung bombs from under Harry's invisibility cloak. It didn't even take me a second to realize that Snape was trying to penetrate my mind and go through my memories to figure out if we are guilty, I remembered learning this in DADA but forgot what it is called, but what I do remember is that it is fought by clearing your mind, I quickly did just that, and when he realized that I could stop him, he had a look of shock on his face. He leans over to Mcgonagall and whispered something in her ear, her attention switches to me and she then, tries to penetrate my mind. Like I really don't have that much to hide, do you really think that 2 wizards trying to read my mind are necessary. I let Mcgonagall in at first because, I like her much more than Snape I think that she usually turns a blind eye whenever I mess around in her class purposely. I quickly throw up a block when she goes through one of my worst memories, and I am forced to relive it. The memory is of my twin, Michael, he died when when we were 6 and I was there to witness it, I feel guilty but there is nothing I could've done. He died of cancer. I throw up a block and she breaks the connection, giving me a sympathetic look, but I ignore her, as soon as I snap out of the trance I notice Snape glaring at me and I glare right back at him. I hear Harry and Ron draw in their breath, along with everyone else in the hall. We stare at each other for a good five minutes, and it was torture, I hate looking into those piercing, cold eyes; but I wasn't put in Gryffindor for nothing and I wasn't going to let him win. Snape finally breaks his gaze and looks away. Let's just say that I didn't try at all to hide the smirk on my face. My victory is cut short by Mcgonagall saying, "I believe that I must take you to Professor Dumbledores Office immediately."
I was about to point out that Dumbledore was in the hall, but a quick glance towards the front of the hall told me I was wrong. I reluctantly followed Snape and Mcgonagall to Dumbledore, my smirk long washed off my face.
