All the students got off the train and followed a large man named Hagrid. He lead all the first years to a large lake filled with boats.
"No more than 4 in a boat!" Hagrid shouted. I clambered into the boat, with Fred and George following. All the boats started towards the largest castle I've ever seen. When we arrived, a very severe looking woman stood in front of a door.
"Welcome to Hogwarts! When we go through these doors, you will be sorted into your houses. Please follow me." She instructed all of us, pushed open the door and we walked in. Up ahead their was a stool with an old looking hat.
"Now, when I call your name, you will be sorted into your house. Davies, Roger!" The witch announced.
"RAVENCLAW!" The hat shouted. I was amazed at how it could talk.
Fred stepped up to the stool, and the hat was put onto his head. After about 5 seconds, the hat decided.
The Gryffindor table cheered, as one of his older brother was there too.
Fred high-fived him as he went over to the stool. It again took the hat about 5 seconds.
Both his brothers cheered loudly.
I was the last one. I defiantly didn't want Slytherin, but the others I'd be fine with.
"Hmmmm, Kind, Hard-Working, Tolerant, would be good in Hufflepuff, but I see greatness elsewhere. Better be.....GRYFFINDOR!" The sorting hat called out. I smiled and ran over too the table.
"Alana, sit here, in between us!" George motioned for me to come over. I sat down and sighed.
"I was so nervous." I said, breathing heavy, my heart beating fast.
"You were almost a Hufflepuff! You had us worried." Fred chimed in. I started laughing, just as an old bearded man stepped up to the front pedestal.
"Dumbledore." I murmured.
"Good evening, Everyone! Welcome to yet another year at Hogwarts! Let the feast, commence!" Shouted Dumbledore.
Food appeared all over the tables. My eyes bulged from looking at all of the food. After everyone had their fill, dessert and all, we went up to the common room. Our belongings had already been put up there in the dormitory.
"Goodnight, guys! Oh, and Fred, I'm sorry for running into you earlier." I said quietly.
"Don't mention it." He smiled. I planted a kiss on his cheek and he blushed. George laughed at him, so I did the same to him. He turned red himself, and I pulled both twins into a tight hug. They both pretended to choke, and I laughed loudly. I went up to bed. I was tired, and classes started soon.
