*Still Emerson’s POV*
*Few Days Later*
Kristen and I got the apartment. We’re all packed and ready to move in. Mr. and Mrs. Espinosa promised not to mention anything to Matthew until he got back home. I don’t really want him coming home just because I have my own apartment. Matthew needs to see his fans because they bought tickets to see him and others. He can’t disappoint them.
“Bye Emerson,” Mrs.Espinosa said as she hugged me. “Visit anytime sweetheart.”
I had some tears escape but at least I had Kristen by my side. Ever since my mom’s passing two months ago, Kristen became my best friend. If any of you guys are wondering, my mom’s funeral hasn't happened yet. My aunt wants to organise it but she’s been busy filming Insurgent.
“I figured it out, I figured it out from black and white. Seconds and hours, maybe they had to take some time,” my phone rang.
I hit answer and put my phone on speaker. I think it was Matt that was calling.
“Hey Matt!” I said.
“Matthew! How’s Sunsation?”
We got no answer. I hung up and shrugged it off. I had this weird feeling in my chest, that someone wanted me to hear something. All Kristen and I heard was static. No voices, just static.
“Emerson, you okay?” Kristen asked.
“Yeah, I guess,” I responded.
“Okay, what’s up?”
“It’s just that, I think someone wanted to hear me or us something that was going on. I just don’t feel good.”
“Like your heart is breaking?”
“How about you just focus on your photography career and see where that leads you.”
We drove for a couple more minutes and arrived at the apartment building. It was very nice. Modern outside, huge parking lot. Kristen parked and we walked in. It was very nice. There’s a doorman, security guards and a person at the front desk.
“Hi. I’m Kristen Espinosa and this is my roommate, Emerson Wilder. We just bought the apartment that was for sale," Kristen told the front desk person.
She flipped through folders and handed us our key. We headed towards the elevator and headed up to the 9th floor. This apartment building only had nine floors but it was a half of a ninth floor. Half was the apartment and the other half was our private deck or balcony area.
Kristen unlocked the door and we walked in. It was modern but still had a little charm or character to it. The kitchen was a chef kitchen, the living room was big enough that I could add some wallpaper to for my photo business. Bedrooms were a decent size and the bathroom were beautiful.
"Well...we should go get our stuff to move in. It's nice that I bought it furnished and got the rent down to almost $1,100 for us."
"Wow! Nice deal!"
Kristen and I got all of our boxes and started unpacking. It only took us a few hours but now I can find an photoshop or make my own business. I'll probably start at a very busy photo place in the mall or somewhere.
