6. Chapter Six
Matthew's POV: Emerson loved seeing the sun rise. I was happy, that she was happy. Emerson hasn't really been happy with her life since her dad terrized her life.
"Matthew, Emerson. Breakfast is ready," my mother said.
She has to run off to work, so it's just going to be Emerson and me all day. Kristen is taking some summer college classes. Dylan is at his friends and Ryan is at his girlfriends house.
My mom made us pancakes and bacon. I grabbed a few pieces of bacon and two pancakes. Being very polite with Emerson around. Emerson grabbed five pieces of bacon and two pancakes. I smiled and chuckled a little.
"What?" Emerson asked.
"Oh nothing," I responded.
"Matthew! Tell me!"
"It's just. I've never met a girl that love bacon."
"Really? It's my favorite food!"
Emerson and I talked until we finished breakfast. I steered cleaning up and my mother walked in.
"Matthew. I've got this. Go hang out with Emerson," she said.
I knew that my mother just wanted me to ask out Emerson. She knows I really like her and I don't want anything else to happen to her.
