*Still Matthew's POV*
Emerson and I decided on watching movies all day. She seriously loves staying at home and not going out. It's like every guys dream.
"What?" Emerson asked.
"Huh? Oh nothing," I quickly responded.
I zoned out while I was looking at Emerson. I just can't help myself anymore. She's just so beautiful. Her smile, eyes and hair. I can tell that she hates her appearance. I haven't met anyone like her before. Emerson told me that it was my turn to pick a movie. I chose my favorite scary movie. I knew Emerson wouldn’t watch all of it because of her past. I chose The Conjuring. It was dark outside, but it was only four in the afternoon.
“What movie are we watching?”
“Don’t worry, I’m going to be here with you.”
Emerson shifted closer to me. I wrapped my arm around Emerson and she rested her head on my shoulder. The movie started and right away she practically smashed her face into my chest. I watched her flinch every time she heard a scream. I turned off the TV and hit the light switch remote. Emerson lifted her head and looked into my eyes.
I never noticed how bright her eyes were. They were a bright hazel color. When I met her they were dark and unhappy.
“What?” Emerson asked.
“Your eyes are beautiful,” I accidentally blurted out.
Emerson started blushing. I couldn’t help, but start to blush too. She started laughing. I grabbed my phone and hit Pandora. Austin Mahone came on. Say You’re Just A Friend, is the song. Emerson got up and started dancing. This is when I started laughing. Emerson smiled at me.
I walked into the kitchen and decided to get some food. I don’t know when my parents or my siblings are coming home. I grabbed chips and made sandwiches.
“Hey! Emerson! You want dinner?” I asked.
“Sure!” She responded.
I brought the food into the living room and we just sat and talked.
“Can I ask you something?” I asked.
“Yeah. Shoot.” Emerson responded.
“When you fell asleep last night in the car, I carried you into the house. You said something in your dream.”
“Okay, what did I say?”
“I. Love. Matthew. What did you mean by that?”
“Nothing. I don’t really want to talk about it.”
Emerson got up and walked out of the room. I just wanted to know, but now I think I blew my chance.
