"Press play." I demanded Kylie, Dani's assistant, to play my song.
Since last night, I haven't been able to think straight or sleep for that matter. So this morning I decided to get up early, avoiding my parents, and come to the studio to practice.
Breathe Me started playing.
I put every emotion I had into my dancing. This wasn't even a dance that I needed to practice. I choreographed it one day at home after I finally broke up with my last boyfriend.
Half way through the song I saw Harry and the guys walk in, out of the corner of my eye. One point in the dance I made eye contact with him, I rolled my eyes and continued dancing.
As the song ended, I went to do my side ariel. But when I landed it, I twisted my ankle. A sharp pain shot through my ankle and up my calf.
"Fuck!" I cursed in pain. They all came running to my side.
"Are you okay?" Harry asked concerned.
"Just someone get me my bag please!" I ordered. Liam rushed over a grabbed it, and dragged it over to me.
"Can someone go to Dani's office and grab an ice pack out of her fridge." I pleaded still in pain. Niall nodded and rushed out to grab one.
I took the ankle brace out of my bag. And carefully pulled it on. Pain shot through my leg as I pulled it on, but I needed the brace.
"Shouldn't you go to the hospital?" Harry questioned.
"No. I'm fine." I snapped as Niall came in with the ice pack. He handed it to me. I slowly and carefully got up and walked over to the chair across the room, with the assistance of Kylie. I elevated my leg on the chair next to me and placed the ice pack on it.
"You really should go to the hos-" Harry started.
"No. I don't need to." I snapped. "Besides this wouldn't be happening if you hadn't kissed me last night!"
"How the hell is this my fault?!" He yelled confused. Everyone backed away from us and walked out of the room.
"If you hadn't kissed me, then I wouldn't have been here this morning, pouring all my emotions into this dance." I cried.
"I'm sor-" He started.
"Just leave." I cried shaking my head.
"Leave!" I cried. "Please."
He slowly nodded and turned around to walk out. He took one last look at me before walking out. Once he was out of the room and the door was closed. I stood up trying to walk across the room. I limped over to the middle of the room. I tried to attempt a pirouette but I fell out of it.
"Shit." I cursed. In a week I have a competition. And I'm going up against Becca and I need to beat her! But how am I suppose to do that when I can't even do one pirouette!
"I heard you injured your ankle." Dani sighed as she walked into the room. I nodded limping back over to the chair.
"You need to rest. Come in Saturday morning before the competition and see if it's any better." She instructed.
"But I need to pratice!" I pleaded.
"No, what you need is to rest your ankle." She ordered and walked out. I groaned and picked up my bag, pulled on my shoes and limped out of the studio.
"What happened sweetheart?" my dad asked as I walked through the front door limping.
"I think I spranged my ankle." I sighed slumping down on the couch.
"Oh my gosh! Hunny what happed!" My mom shrieked as she came rushing into the living room.
"I spranged my ankle, okay! Can you guys just leave it!" I groaned.
"I'll go get some ice." My mom sighed and my dad followed her out to the kitchen. I heard the doorbell go off.
"Could you get that sweetheart?" My mum said from the kitchen. Really? I have a spranged ankle. Whatever.
I limped my way to the door and pulled it open. Harry.
"What do you want?" I snapped.
"I want to talk." He pleaded. I looked back to see my mum and dad still in the kitchen. I pushed his back a bit, stepped outside and closed the door behind me. I went and sat of my porch's front steps.
"Are you alright?" He asked concerned sitting next to me.
"If that's what you wanted to talk about, then I'm gonna leave." I rolled my eyes starting to get up.
"No, it's not. But are you?" He mentioned.
"If you consider having a sprained ankle, okay. Then yeah! I'm great!" I said sarcastically.
"Come on, Elizabeth! What the hell did I do?!" He groaned.
"You know, sure in hell what you did!" I basically shouted.
"I kissed you! I know. But you kissed back!" He agrued.
"Yeah, and that was a big mistake!" I hollered standing up.
"Why? Name one reason why it was a mistake?" He pleaded.
"B-because, I liked it." I stuttered.
"What's so bad about that?" Harry asked softly standing in front of me. His tall figure towering my petite one. I bit my lip and looked down at my shoes.
"I'm sorry. I can't do this right now." I turned around and rushed inside. Closing the door before Harry could get to me.
"Who was that?" My mum asked as I walked back into the living room.
"Erm, no one important." I shrugged lying down on the couch.
Being home for 4 days bummed me out. I still stretched but I couldn't dance. My ankle has definately felt and gotten better though. It's stiff, but hopefully I can dance on it.
After changing into my dance clothes and grabbing all my costumes a make-up for the competition later, I headed out to my car. My mum, dad, and sister would meet me at the competition later. Thank god I couldn still drive, even with my ankle. I pulled out of the drive way and headed to the studio.
"I see you made it." Dani softly smiled at me as I walked in.
"Yeah, let's hope resting was worth it." I sighed getting ready to practice my dance.
"Go for it." She stated starting the music. I can dance on it!!! Thank god! The only part of the routine I was worried about were my turns. And my tricks.
As I started to attempt my floating turns I felt a sharp pain shoot through my ankle. Shit. I walked in off the waited for the section of the song where I did an ariel. Fuck. Another sharp pain shot through my leg, I crouched down on the floor.
"Are you alright?" Dani asked concerned.
"Yeah, I think." I said trying to stand up on my bad ankle but I stumbled back down.
"You can't compete today. I'm sorry Elizabeth." She said shaking her head helping me up.
"I'm still going though." I snapped before limping my way out of the room. I left the studio and headed to the venue.
I don't care how bad my ankle is. I'm still going to that competition.
