Lyre strummed a few cords on her guitar, humming a little. She stopped abruptly and took up her pencil. She write a few more notes down on the paper and finished with a small, proud flourish. Then she took the pick from between her teeth and strummed once down her guitar, from the bottom note to the top note. Then she organised her sheets, put her fingers in place and began to play.
A few bars into the song, she began to sing. She sung in that clear, strong and beautiful voice of hers. And the world dissolved around her. When she played, nothing else mattered. When she sung, everything but the music disappeared.
But when she did both at night, next to her window, watched by the full moon, she felt whole for the first time in her life.
This one I came up with while listening to 'White Horse' by Taylor Swift. And, of course, I had to find an anime picture to with it. ^-^ Hey, acoustic guitar, kinda gloomy song, it seems like one a girl would sing at night when her parents were away!!! I would!!!! *cough* If I could... y'know... actually PLAY guitar. It just doesn't work for me. Meh, you can't do everything!
