16. A Early Text
Sage sat there with her best friend, Mary Jane, on her bed. "So you are telling me that your sister didn't want to write a letter but instead you wrote a letter and have been doing them ever since. Now you're trying to get Niall and Jenny to meet in person?" Mary Jane said. "Yeah." Sage said looking at her hands. "Its just these past 4 years, Jenny has kept that box full of stuff from Niall and hasn't given it up. He sent another letter today but I haven't read it yet." Sage said walking to her desk and picking it up.
"Open it! I want to hear what the singer has to say." Mary Jane said. "Okay, I guess you can listen." Sage said smiling. She carefully took this letter out gently like every other letter of Niall's that she has."Here is the Niall Horan who writes to my sister." Sage told her best friend. She read the letter to her and Mary Jane was speechless. "Now I must reply, but I have to get Jenny's phone. That shouldn't be hard." Sage said as she got up.
She ran into Jenny's room and saw her phone lying on her bed. Then ran back to her bedroom where Mary Jane was still sitting on the bed. She sat down and texted Niall's number in and then started texting him.
To: Niall (03156458635123)
Hello Nialler, its Jenny. So I got your letter and I figured I could respond now. Saturday, we can meet at the Mullingar Café, its right across from Mullingar Park and near the McDonalds. I work from 10am to 12pm (2 hours) and then if all goes well, we can probably go get lunch at Nandos. But I will text you before 10 on Saturday to know if I am able to work things out.
Sage sent the text to him and waited for a reply. Its only Wednesday and not Saturday, but she figured it wouldn't hurt to text him now. "I hope you're right about all of this, Sage." Mary Jane told her after she sent the text. "Me too. I am not worried much about Niall, mostly Jenny." Sage said looking at her sister's phone.
