"So you made your schedule to be exactly like mine?" I playfully hit Harry's shoulder. We had just left the office where Harry had practically gave every excuse to make his schedule fit mine perfectly.
"Well sure! As your protector, I need to be near you at all times," He squeezed my shoulder as we began to walk toward our first hour, which was everyone else's third hour.
"Hey Cathlee.....woah who's this guy?" Henry came up and asked suspiciously. Harry stuck out his hand.
"My name is Harry. And I'm guessing you're the famous Henry that Leena has been telling me all about," Henry smiled and shook Harry's hand.
"So she's been talking about me, eh?" Henry cockily grinned and Harry chuckled. I rolled my eyes at the two of them while Henry checked out our outfits. "You two are twinning today?" I nodded and Henry pulled me aside.
"If this guy is bothering you, just say the word and he'll be gone," I laughed outright at this.
"No no, Henry! Harry was my best friend when I was younger before I met you and Mason. He," I paused thinking about what to say. Harry didn't say I had to keep what he told me a secret but I thought it probably was something I shouldn't be spreading around. "He moved away and just came back!" I said confidently. Henry nodded slowly.
"Well ok, there's just something off with him," Henry tilted his head looking at him, then shrugged his shoulders. "You ready for your challenge this afternoon?"
"Ugg, I forgot! When Harry came I complete forgot about it," I groaned loudly.
"Come buy tickets for the big challenge between Cathleen Montague and Genevieve Green this afternoon!" Charles, our Vice-President, sat at a table selling tickets. It wasn't usual that tickets were selling fast, that's what usually happened. I had never gone before because since I had such a long walk, if I went, I'd be home way too late. Harry went over and spoke to Charles.
"Hello, I'm new here. What is this challenge you are speaking about?" Harry asked.
"Challenges are a series of challenges, hence the name, that test the opponents strength, intelligence, and agility. Anyone can challenge anyone, and the person challenged cannot refuse. Each challenge is different, with the principal and staff coming up with something different each time. Cathleen vs. Genevieve is supposed to be the hardest one yet. Genevieve insisted. It is possible for this challenges to be fatal, but we haven't had anyone die yet," Charles chuckled. Harry had a grim look on his face.
"I would like three tickets please," Harry stuck out the amount in cash and was handed three tickets. Harry headed back to us, his face slightly pale. "Leena, you were challenged? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I'm sorry, when you, showed up, I was getting ready to calm myself down with painting, and it slipped my mind when we started talking," I looked at the floor. Harry smiled sadly.
"I know, I'm sorry. I'm just worried. They could be fatal?" Harry touched my face and I blushed. He pulled his hand away and looked down with a glare from Henry. "At least tell me you've seen one before?" I shook my head and Harry grimaced.
"Well I guess then during 4th hour, lunch and 5th hour, we are going to get you prepared," Harry stated, pushing on my back to lead me to our next hour. I groaned in protest and Harry tisked at me. "Don't be so upset, we can work on your powers," Harry said the last part just low enough for me to hear. He wiggled his eyebrows.
"Well how can I say no to that!"
