The rest if shopping was highly successful. I got an owl named Johnny as my pet. My wand was a Hawthorne wand, thirteen inches, relatively bouncy, and a dragon heartstring core.
September first rolled around. I got out of bed, got dressed in regular Muggle clothes, even though I really wanted to wear my new black robes. I did my hair in a side braid, and applied a thin layer of makeup. I wanted to look my prettiest.
I grabbed my trunk, and got in our car. "Nervous, honey?" Asked my mom.
"Nah, I'm just so excited." I said, fingering my ticket.
"You look beautiful, darling. Now, Kyle, how exactly do we get to Platform Nine and Three Quarters?"
It was a good question. Daddy refused to tell me.
"Well, you being a Muggle, Christina,-"Mom flinched at the word Muggle, she really hated being one, "won't be able to get into the Platform. But what you do is run straight through the wall between platforms nine and ten, and there you are!"
I stare at Father in shock, my mouth hanging open. "Through a brick wall?"
"Well, it has to be hidden from Muggles.. Sorry, Christina, but it's true."
We finally arrive at King's Cross, where I will board the Hogwarts Express. I grab my trunk and Johnny, and walk to Platforms Nine and Ten.
Sure enough, there is a 'solid' brick wall between the two platforms.
I say goodbye to Mom, promising I'll write to her as much as possible, and she tears up. I give her a quick hug and join Daddy, and we, when no Muggles are looking, melt through the wall.
Platform Nine and Three Quarters was nothing like I expected. It was magnificent and beautiful, but I didn't have much time to admire it as a big, scarlet steam engine pulls up to a stop in front of us. My father embraces me in a tight hug. "You sure you don't want to wait another year?"
"Write to me as soon and often as possible."
"I will." I embrace my dad one last time, grab my things, and board the Hogwarts Express.
As one of the last to board, there were slim pickings for seats. I got stuck in a car between Slytherins and Huflepuff. I slide in to a seat next to a very attractive fourth year Hufflepuff. "Hello," I say. "I'm Adrianna Tomas."
"Cedric Diggory." We shake hands.
I open my mouth to say more, but then a girl slides in next to us. "Cedric! It's been so long! How are you?" Then she sees me, and the four sitting across from us. "And who are you?"
"Malfoy. Draco Malfoy."
My eyes widened. "Related to Sirius Black?"
She grins. "The very one."
Draco speaks up. "Harry Potter is on the train. He's in the car behind us."
Gasps went out from our car. Harry was famous- the only survivor of the Killing Curse. Not only that, but he defeated Voldemort!
We all talked and became friends. Even Draco. Even though he was going to be a Slytherin. Not all Slytherins are bad, though.
