After many days of holding Lief prisoner, I find out that Elektra is headed towards the castle, and fast. So we release Lief from his cell, where he was shackled to the wall (I wasn't taking any chances, he put up an impressive fight when we captured him.), and handcuff his hands behind his back.
By the time we are out of the castle, with continuous complaints from Lief (one of the most arrogant people I have ever met), she is waiting for us. What I hadn't counted on was her bringing two soldiers with her, and they are all armed.
"So someone finally decided to wake up, I see." I state, hoping that I sound intimidating, even though that was always more my sister's thing.
"Yes, actually, and I came to take what is mine." She says, gesturing towards Lief. I dislike this situation as much as she does, for I hate taking captives unless absolutely necessary. It wastes resources and endangers my soldiers.
I sigh, "Fine, but what do you offer in return?"
"Time. I will allow you precisely three days of peace, before all of this resumes." That comment stops me in my tracks. All I want now is peace, and those three days would mean the world to me.
"Do you swear, upon his life?" I inquire, knowing that there is always a catch.
She swallows, "Yes, alright? I swear."
"Okay then." Owen moves to stop me, but before he can change my mind, I shove the incessant, though useful, boy in Elektra's direction. "See you in three days, Little Sis." I say, and she fumes silently before thinking better of her response and marching away, grabbing Lief close to her.
"I really hope that was the right thing to do, Pandora." Owen says, nervousness evident in his tone.
"So do I."
