The Big Book of Dragons

This is the Big Book of Dragons! The very book you need if you want to know all the dragons to know of! Madouc and Secrets try to write about as many dragons as they possibly can, giving their names, their habits and behaviour, their environment; etcetera. All the dragons maybe from games, films, books or other forms of media, but these dragons certainly exist! But perhaps if you have made and drawn your own dragon, then tell us about it and it shall become part of our guide!

2. 1 - The Nargacuga

The Nargacuga
Game: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

Size:
Roughly the height of a horse. It spans in length of about 10m long from chin to tail. Wingspan is also about 10 meters.

About:
A feared wyvern that is more mammal than reptile like the rest of its kind. The Nargacuga uses speed and relentless aggression on its targets, bringing them down precisely and efficiently. When enraged, blood pumps to its eyes for improved vision, leaving the area around its eyes a bright red and it's eyes alone leave streaks in the air. This creature is not much of a flyer, only being able to fly for a short amount of time, and so it prefers to live in the trees or on the ground of the jungle, pouncing from tree to tree and landing on its prey. Lastly, its roar can be heard for miles. It is like a cougar's roar, only much, much loader.

Abilities:
Although it has no connections to the elements like other dragons do, this beast has a phenomenal amount of weapons. Its claws help it grip the trees, so it may climb freely. But also its wings have razor sharp blades that slice through vegetation and flesh if need be. Finally, its most impressive tool is its spiked tail. This tail is encased in poisonous spines that the Nargacuga can whip a larger target with, bringing it down with its potent venom. However, what is more deadly is that the Nargacuga can launch these spines over its head, letting fly a cascade of them all at once like a giant shotgun.
It is not to be underestimated.

How to kill:
If you are ever mad enough to try, then the trick is to be just as fast; if not faster. Light armour and a light weapon are advisable, to increase speed. If you are slower than this beast, it shall be the end of you. Also, do not use a ranged weapon that requires you to aim, for you shall miss too many times to count, and if you stand still to aim, like a bow or rifle, for that too would be game over for you. It has only fur and flesh, so cutting through it will not be so much a problem. Another tip; be quiet if you try to sneak up on it. It mainly relies on vision, so it's hearing is poor.

Good luck dragon slayers!
