15. The Final Days
A lot of time had passed and now Meg's due date was looming. They had painted the spare room blue and filled it with the baby's stuff. They had decided to name him Leighton Joseph. Sofia was ecstatic about the baby coming soon and had already bagsied first cuddles with baby Leighton. After spending the day inside on the sofa, as she was the size of an elephant in her own opinion, Joe brought her some waffles he had made for the girls dinner. "I'll bath the girls tonight so you can rest if you want." Joe said, sitting down next to Meg before swiftly grabbing a waffle of her plate. "Thanks babe. I'm feeling pretty down today, feeling like your gonna explode 24/7 isn't a good feeling." Meg said, yawning. "Do you want help getting upstairs?" Joe asked, seeing Meg try to rise from the sofa. "Yes plea.." Meg started, suddenly standing up looking mortified. "What? What is it Meg?" Joe said. "Joe. I... I think my water just broke." Meg shouted. "What are we gonna do! Your parents aren't coming for another week!" Meg screamed. "I'll call mum and dad, theyll get here in no time!" Joe said, dialling his parents number and grabbing Meg's hospital bag from the cupboard. "Hi mum, its Joe. Can you and dad get here pronto. Meg's gone into labour!" Joe shouted, flinching after hearing Meg scream in pain. "Joe, calm down love. We'll be there in about twenty minutes, were staying in London anyway." Tracey said. "Hurry mum! I need you urgently." Joe yelled hanging up. "Mum and dad are coming. Don't worry. It'll be fine." Joe said. After loud yells and issues with moving from house to car, they got to the maternity unit of the hospital. "Hi, how can I help you?" The nurse asked. "My wife, Megan Sugg is in labour, started like half an hour ago in the house." Joe said, trying to help Meg through the doors whilst she screamed in pain. "OK come through. Room 10 right there." The nurse said. "A midwife will be in soon." She shouted. This was the third time they would go through this and hopefully the last.
