"River!" Mom yelled. "Della wants to know if you want to go to the river with her." She said, her southern accent ringing through the house.
"Okay, I'll give her a call!" I shouted back
I picked up the phone and clicked her contact.
"-Nick! That's cold!" She squealed.
"Uh, hello?" I said.
"Oh, hey, bae." Della said. "Do you wanna come down to the river with me and Nick?" She asked.
"Sure, who else is there?" I asked.
"Just some of Nick's friends." She replied.
"Oh, okay." I said, nodding. I knew she couldn't see me, but it is a habit I've had since I was a little girl. "I'll be there soon."
"Kk, bye!" She cheered. I giggled and hung up.
I walked over to my drawer and opened it up, searching for my favorite bikini. I pulled out my my hot-pink top and hot-pink bottoms. The top was in tube-top form and was strapless. That could be scary, you know... if something happened.
I slipped my clothes off and pulled my bikini on. I tied my long, dark brown hair unto a bun and walked into my closet. I grabbed some white shorts and a black tank-top. I slipped my pink flip-flops on and grabbed my white sunglasses and phone.
I walked out of the house, yelling a goodbye to my mother. I got into my black pickup truck and began to drive towards the river. It was only about five miles away.
I turned on the radio and Trouble Maker, by Olly Murs began to play.
"You had me hooked again from the minute you sat down
The way you bite your lip got my head spinning around
After a drink or two, I was putty in your hands
I don't know if I have the strength to stand
Trouble, Trouble Maker
Yeah, that's your middle name
I know your no good, but your stuck in my brain
And I wanna know,
Why does it feel so good but hurt so bad?
My mind keeps saying run as fast as you can
I say I'm done, but then you pull me back
I swear your giving me a heart attack
By the time the song was over I was at my destination.
I turned the car off and carefully stepped out. There were four really cute guys here, but one in particular really caught my attention.
He's super tall, like maybe 6'2 or 6'3? He has brilliant bright blue eyes. He has blonde hair, and a lips ring. The lip ring was what intrigued me the most. He, in utter honesty, has the best, and longest, legs I've ever seen.
He's skinny and somewhat muscular, bicep wise, I mean. He doesn't have abs, sadly, but has really sexy collar bones.
My weakness is collar bones. Nothing is more sexy than visible collar bones on a guy.
He saw me staring and smirked.
Della ran over and greeted me with a big hug. Nick was not far behind her and join our hug.
"Group hug!" A voice squealed. Four other pairs of arms wrapped around the three of us.
"Guys, I can't breathe." I gasped. Everyone soon let go, leaving me gasping for breath.
I can't have an asthma attack here!
I slowly attempted to catch my breath.
"Are you okay?" A boy with curly, light brown hair and hazel eyes asked. I nodded slowly. "You're sure?"
I stood up straighter and looked him in the eyes. "I'm positive." I gasped as water was suddenly poured down my back. I whipped around to see the boy that I was admiring earlier staring right at me.
It was obvious by the look in his eyes that he feared what I was going to do next. I took him by surprise and came forward to hug him. I wrapped my hands around his torso and he nervously did the same to me.
Once I gained his trust and he no longer feared I would hurt him I grabbed the visible waistband of his underwear and jerked them upward.
A loud, and somewhat high pitched, scream erupted into my ear causing me to cringe and pull harder. "Please, stop. Seriously!" He sobbed into my shoulder. "I'll do anything!" He panted.
I let go and he fell to the ground.
"Luke, are you okay?" The boy who was once concerned for me asked him.
"Ashton, you piss head! Do I look okay?" The boy who was apparently named 'Luke' scolded the poor boy, Ashton.
"No." Ashton said quietly, looking down in disappointment.
"Hey, you don't have to hurt Ashton's feelings just because your hurting." I defended Ashton.
Ashton looked up at me in awe. "Come on Ashton." I said, taking his hand and walking over towards the back of the car.
I took my shorts and t-shirt off and stepped in the river. It's a small river. It's only fifteen feet wide and six feet deep, at the most. Ashton was probably about 6'0 or 6'1, so he'd barely be able to touch the bottom.
Della and Nick were hot on our trail as we stepped in to a little drop off. It was suddenly from my knees to my belly button. I squealed loudly.
"Here, get on my back." Ashton said politely.
"Thanks." I smiled. He bent down just enough for me to jump on to his back and wrap my legs around his waist. My arms hung around his neck and I laid my head on his shoulder.
"I'm going to take you across to the canyon wall so you can meet my friends Michael and Calum. They're really sweet. By the way, Luke is usually really nice. I'm not sure why he's acting so cocky today. He's usually a shy, quiet... He's an awkward person." Ashton said.
I nodded my head against his back and he let out a laugh. "Stop it, that tickles!" He exclaimed.
"Okay." I said quietly. The water was now up to my chest, becoming closer and closer to my face with every single step.
"I need to swim until it gets a little more shallow." Ashton said.
"Uh, yeah, sure." I said nervously.
Idiot! You can't swim!
"Uh, Ashton..." I said quietly.
"I can't swim." I said, loud enough for only him to hear.
"Oh, oh, uh... Okay." He trailed off into thought. "I think I can swim with you one back." He said. "Your not that heavy."
I nodded. "Okay." I said quietly.
He began to swim slowly and soon were walking up on land. I carefully got off of his back and stretched out my back.
"Come on!" Ashton called. I looked around for him but he had disappeared. "Up here!" He shouted. I looked up to see him climbing the canyon wall, heading towards what seems like a cave. I quickly climbed behind him so I wouldn't be left with the two love birds and Luke.
When I got to the cave, a blonde boy and a very tan dark haired boy sat on foldable chairs and had many others around them.
"Hey guys." The blonde boy said casually.
"Hi, I'm River." I gave a soft smile and a small wave.
"River..." The dark haired boy said. "I like it. That's very creative." He nodded. "I'm Calum, by the way." He held out his hand for me to shake. I carefully shook it, realizing how strong and muscular he is, and how long his fingers are. Dayum.
"I'm Michael, but you can call me Mikey." The blonde boy said. Instead of shaking my hand, he stood up and pulled me into a massive hug. "You're very pretty." Michael said.
"You're very blunt." I replied. The other boys snickered 'quietly' at my response.
Michael chuckled and shook his head. "I'm not hitting on you, I'm just complimenting you."
"Good, because I've got a boyfriend." I giggled.
"Who?" Mikey asked in (almost) jealously.
"Lucas." I grinned.
Why didn't you say Ashton?
"Really?" Ashton asked as everybody's gaze landed on Luke.
"What?" Luke asked in confusion.
"Your dating River?" Calum asked. I glanced at Della and she knew I was lying. She was giving me 'the devils glare'.
"Yeah. Why? Are you jealous?" Luke asked teasingly. He came and wrapped his arm around the small of my back.
"Wow. No, it's just..." Calum trailed off.
"Nothing." Michael finished for Calum.
"I was kidd-" I was cut off by Luke covering my mouth with his hand.
"We're not kidding." He said.
