3. Attack on Titan / Shingeki No Kyojin

Title: Attack on Titan / Shingeki no Kyojin

Genre: Dark Fantasy, Post Apocalyptic

Synopsis: It is set in a world where humanity lives inside cities surrounded by enormous walls as a defense against the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. As the story progresses, the truth about the Titans begins to arise

Review: Back in the day, I wasn't such a big fan of SnK as I am today. The manga style- I thought was etchy (don't mix up with eechi). But when the manga came out, my thought changed completely. I loved the animation style of the anime, and the intricate detail on each and every titan. I'm not sure about you, but I surely can not imagine a chunk of burning, raw meat to be taller than humans, and can break walls. Mid way through the anime, I then wondered about the theories that I had piling up in my head, only to be foretold by future chapters/ episodes. So I decided to read from the manga. Suddenly, I didnt care (really) about the style, but the story itself. It really pulled me in with its plot twists, and its unthinkable endings. So while others were questioning that little scene at the end of the anime where the wall cracks due to titans climbing, I was happily skipping on ahead, knowing what'll happen from then on.

Rating: 7/10

Rating: Like I said before, I didnt really like the art style (still not really getting used to it; the manga.) but it does have some pretty funny faces; like the 'Jean' face. I noticed while watching the anime, that some episodes were getting kind of dull (not a lot of dialogue happening. Some episodes would even be half a chapter long, instead of a full chapter summary. I LOVE the whole plot to this series, despite the fact that I am not a fan of blood and gore :x. I loved the intricate detail put in the anime, and the voice actors. What I wish they could improve on, however, is having more 'stuff' happening in each episode. Don't get me wrong; the episode coverage was good, but what if if had even more stuff happening 'behind the scenes?'(its anime). Now... For its movie... Apparently the L.A.M ruins the whole series, as it is painful to watch, so.... Good luck Eren, Mikasa, Armin. (Whistles the hunger games theme).

Watch out for:

- surprising stuff

- sudden plot twists

- erens dads words ; remember them...

- jaw dropping moments; literally.

What you may need:

- a pillow

- rewatch a few episodes

- last episode (episode 25) WATCH UNTIL THE END.

- something to keep your jaw from dropping. (Im not even kidding)
