Forgetting the past isn't easy. The town of Foster left a mark on everyone, making it impossible to move on from the past and have the feeling that something isn't right... Secrets are coming to the clear, new feelings and new personalities are the things tearing everything apart. Grace finds herself beginning to change, out of the bad experiences she's endured, making it difficult for anyone she moved to England with to enjoy her company and presence, besides Harry and a new guy she's become influenced with. Now, she just has to realize that she may have been wrong to trust anyone she loves before discovering the truth about the suffering she's endured.

1. Chapter 1

Forgetting the past isn't as easy as it seems. You have to try to build a new person inside of you but still be the same person to others? The concept of forgetting absolutely confused me. It made me feel some type of sadness, having to try and forget the anger, the emotion, and not to forget the power I'd felt trying to protect those of which I love, but it just doesn't feel right.

I've been trying to project my positive emotions on to Harry, which has been quite simple, considering he's still in the recovery process from getting shot by stupid Katie, but hey, what can you do?

"Hey, how are you?" I asked, walking in and standing right in front of Harry as he was getting dressed.

"Good, much better than the first day." He replied, pulling on his jeans. He didn't have a shirt on yet, which meant this was one of the few moments in the day where I could see him without any clothes on, or as close as I could get to seeing him without any clothes on. However, I couldn't fantasize about him very much before I darted my eyes over to his large bandage that was plastered over his wound.

"Good, I'm glad." I nodded, walking over and sitting on the bed. "What is the plan for today?"

"Well, I actually had something planned if you'd like to approve of it first." He smirked, grabbed a tank top and putting it on.

"Well, we'll see if I approve of it if you tell me..." I smiled, crossing my legs and cocking up my eyebrow.

"Well, I was planning on taking you out to go eat and then have a little fun time in here." He suggested, pacing around and checking his phone.

"Wait, we're going on like an actual date?" I asked, walking over.

"Yeah... Did you think I was kidding?" He asked, slightly offended by my reaction.

"I mean, we've never actually been on like, a real date.." I said, my eyes widening as I shoved my phone into my back pocket.

"That's why I wanted to try out the whole date thing. I mean, I've never been one to peg down dating in my best skills but I wanna try it." He shrugged, walking over and taking my hands in his.

"Well, I've never actually been on a real date so, I'll take you up on that offer. If you think you're well enough, that is." I whispered, slowly bring my face up to his, so that our lips were just inches apart.

"Perfect, I've already filled Perrie in with all the details. She's calling it the last date before our loss of freedom." He chuckled noticing my confusion. "You know, the last alone time we're going to get without having to worry about doing homework."

"Remind me again why we're going to school again?" I said, glumly. He laughed and then wrapped his arms around my waist.

"So, we can finish high school and go to university and actually have a normal, problem-free life." I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"That's hard to believe coming from you." I said, softly pecking his nose.

"Well, I don't want to have to ruin your life.." He said, making me place my index finger over his lips.

"That's a conversation for another day..." I pulled away from him and pulled on a sweater. "I have to go and get coffee with Luke, but I'll see you tonight." I smiled before walking out.

I walked up to the nearest Starbucks to meet up with Luke. It was pretty weird considering they had a lot of tea on the menu. I found myself ordering a hot chocolate to more or less keep the confusion of what to order out of my mind.

"What's a guy gotta do to get a Pumpkin Spice latte?" Luke asked, sitting across from me, causing me to chuckle.

"You know, the fact that maybe it should be fall and not the end of Winter." Luke smiled at me, and shook his head, taking a sip of his all black coffee.

"How have you been? I haven't seen much of you ever since... You know.." He sighed, drumming his finger tips on the surface of the table.

"Well, I've just been helping Harry recover. You?" I took a long sip of my hot chocolate, sitting back and crossing my arms.

"Just settling. I don't see why we couldn't have just moved to like Colorado or something. I don't even know why the hell England was an option?" He said, pretty confused.

"Well, maybe it's that the guys who got into a load of bullshit, are from here and wanted to like come home or something?"

"Maybe." He took a bite out of the very yummy looking breakfast sandwich and finished chewing before continuing to talk. "So, I heard Harry's taking you on a date." He wiggled his eyebrows at me causing me to roll my eyes and smile lightly.

"Jesus, is it really that big of news? Maybe one of you should tell the newspapers." I laughed, shaking my head.

"None of the girls could shut up about it. You're the first girl he's ever really like.... Wanted to take out on a date." I blushed and hid my face from him.

"Now, this is going to be fun."
