4. The Arrival
As I get close to the stairs to get off the bus I start to hear yelling coming from outside, I noticed it was a males voice. As I looked at everyone else their facial expressions looked as if they were already scolded. It suddenly went silent and I turned to see my brother glaring in my direction but only for a quick second before he really realized who I was. He started to walk in my direction but continued to the dog behind me. "What's your name?" he asked the tone in his voice reminded me of all the times he was upset with me. His bark still sending shivers down my spine. I took one final look at him before walking ahead to stand next to Tucker who was sitting next to Night who didn't have the same expression as his brother. He noticed me and his expression chanced into a smile "Hey, um...What did you say your name was, again?" I turn to look at him "Pinki, my name is Pinki." His eyes started to soften "I like that name, it-" he was cut off by Night nudging him in the shoulder with his paw and shaking his head. "Uh, right." He looked to the ground almost ashamed of what he was going to say. "Uh thanks." I looked toward my brother who was starting to raise his voice at a different dog. "I'll talk to you later alright." I look back to Tucker who was still looking ashamed "Um, yea.....ok." He said not making eye contact. I walk toward a tree nearest to where everyone is, and sit under it. Its shade cooling my fur. I close my eyes savoring the moment to be alone. "Hey!" I open my eyes and turn in the direction of the voice only to see a black male standing next to me, glaring right at me. "Um, yes?" I stood taking a few steps back. He took a look at my brother then back at me "Why is it that he scolded everyone else but you?" He asked with a slight edge to his voice "Not sure, just lucky I guess." I looked back at my brother who was still scolding the same dog. He chuckled abit standing in my path of view ."No, I don't think that's it. Think of another reason." He sat where he stood, still in my path of view. "Maybe he didn't have a reason to scold me." I began to look at the muscular male. He chuckled "He didn't have a reason to scold anyone else either." I started to loose patience with his constant questioning. "What are you getting at?" I frowned at him standing up. "Like I said before." he stood up never breaking eye contact "He scolded everyone but you." He started to circle me like he was looking for a good pinpoint. "And the way he looked at you." He chuckled "I surely think there's something more than what you're saying." He stopped right in front of me looking directly at my brother "You don't have to tell me, cause i'll just find out sooner or later." he started to walk back toward the group that traveled with us here. I noticed Rugby walking over to join me near the tree only to be shoved by the black male who was so determined to find out me and my brothers secret.
