I carefully knocked on the light brown door. I chewed at my lip nervously. I was scared to see how Louis would react to the bad news I must bear.
It was at least 3 A.M., and I was also scared that Louis would yell at me. The door swung open and I jumped back in fright. It was Liam.
"Liam!" I exclaimed. He was in nothing but boxers, but I jumped into his arms anyway. I cried into his shoulder.
"Anna, what's wrong?" He asked, pulling me away. My vision was blurry due to the tears, and I couldn't look him in the eyes.
"Is Louis here?" I asked. He nodded and took my hand, pulling me inside. Liam closed the door behind me and sat me in the living room.
"Would you like some tea?" He asked. I nodded slowly. He walked off into the kitchen. The tears kept coming, and wouldn't stop. I felt a hand on my back.
I looked up and saw Harry staring at me with watery eyes. "What's wrong, Love?" He asked. I patted the spot next to me and he say down.
I took a deep breath before talking. "My parents got into a car accident. They got hit by a half blind man." I said, sighing loudly. "Yes, as unbelievable as that sounds, it's what happened." I said.
"Oh, my god," Harry gasped. "Are they okay?" He stared at me with wide eyes.
"Harry," I whispered. "They're dead." Harry's body tensed up.
"Oh, my god, Anna. I-I'm so sorry." He pulled me into a hug as I continued to cry. "It's gonna be okay-" He gasped. "How's Louis gonna take it?" He thought aloud.
"I know. I'm really scared about how he'll react. They were his godparents." I said. Harry's eyes widened.
Before Harry could speak, Liam spoke for him. "Oh, my god, you can stay with us."
"I didn't have a choice, Liam." I said. He quietly muttered 'oh' under his breath. "Thanks for offering though." I chuckled. I opened my arms and pulled both boys into a hug. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Louis standing in the stairway with tears in his eyes.
He quickly shuffled into the kitchen, leaving us here without a hello. "Um, give me a minute, will ya?" I asked. Both boys nodded and pulled away. I stood up and walked into the kitchen where I found Louis with his head in his hands, crying.
I walked closer to him and his sobs became more audible. "Louis?" I whispered, causing him to jump in fright. I noticed a small drop of red on the floor, and then another. I glanced up at Louis as he stared at me worriedly. I looked back down at the red again, watching another droplet fall to the floor. I looked up at Louis with hard eyes.
"Anna." He said, quietly. I shook my head. "Anna." He repeated, his voice was more stern than it was before.
"No, Louis. You promised."
"I'm sorry." He said. He grabbed a paper towel and held it to his wrist.
"I love you, Louis." I said, wrapping my arms around him. He buried his face in my neck and began to cry.
"I love you, too." He whispered in my ear.
"Did you hear our conversation in the living room?" I asked. He nodded.
"I followed Harry down." He said.
"So that's how much you heard." I nodded. He nodded. I kissed the top of Louis' head. "Come sit in the living room with us." I whispered. He nodded. He let go of me. I wrapped my arm around his waist as we walked out. The rest of the boys, Zayn and Niall, were now downstairs as well.
Louis and I sat down on the couch and the boys pulled Louis and I into a long group hug with the occasional, "I'm so sorry for you.", or "it's going to be okay."
"I love guys." I said, sniffling right after.
"We love you, too." They said. In unison.
