3. Chapter 3 - Rejection
Nick was almost crying as the walkers attacked the door. "Whats the plan here Nick?" I ask. He walks away from the door leaving me too try to hold it down. "Nick!" I yell. He grabs a box and push it against the door. "Good plan." I mumble. I lean against the wall and sigh of relief. "Are you okay?" I ask him. "No." He stands there looking at the floor. "Do..do you want a hug?" I ask. He nods and I wrap my arms around him.
"We should maybe get some sleep." I say. "Yeah." He replies. The walkers banging on the door was the only sound that could be heard. I used my backpack as a pillow and fell sound asleep.
-a few hours later-
I woke up and Nick was throwing bottles of whiskey at the wall. I walk over to him and cross my arms. "What are you-" He stood up and pressed his lips to mine. Soft but sweet - fiery but cold. I turned away after seconds of it, when I thought about Luke. "What..whats wrong?" He looks at me with a hurt look. "I'm sorry, I thought you were enjoying it.." He says. "Nick I did enjoy it.." I look at him. "Then why did you pull away?" He asks. "I..I like Luke." I mumble, which was a lie. I actually didn't know who to choose, Luke or Nick. Its really hard. He looks down. "Oh..well..fine I- I- I um.." He looked away with tears in his eyes. "Nick..i'm sorry." I grabbed his arm. "Whatever, go be with Luke." He walks to the other side of the room. I start feeling tears coming but wipe them away.
In the morning, the group eventually did find us. We made it back to the cabin and Luke have me a unexpected hug. After we were done hugging I tried to avoid Nicks hurt look as much as possible.
"So what happened? When you and Nick where in that cabin." Luke asks.
I look down for a moment. "He.. kissed me." I mumbled. "He did? I'm gonna fucking kill him!!" He shouts and leaves the room in frustration.
