Chapter 21 ~ Catliyn's POV
I knew that Aislin was down about Connor breaking up with her so I thought that I would go and check on her sisters. I walked over and saw them happily playing together in the living room. I talked to them for a little bit and asked if they needed anything. They said no so I thought I would grab a few cookies and take the up to Aislinn.
I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw Steven in the kitchen cooking. And it smelled good. I walked over to him and wound my arms around his waist.
"I didn't know you could cook," I said into his shoulder.
"Well I can't really. I'm not nearly as good as a chef as you," he replied.
"Thanks sweetie." Yes I had called him sweetie. Steven and I had been going out for a couple of weeks now, although we hadn't told anyone and didn't plan on. At least for a while. When other people were around we act like we hated each other but when we were alone it was a different story. When we were alone we talked and acted like the crazy lovers we were.
"So what did you come in here for?" He asked.
"I walked over to the cookie jar and pulled out some cookies and placed them on a plate.
"I thought I would bring Aislin some cookies."
"That sweet of you."
"Yeah. I'll be right back." I picked up the plate and the glass of milk that I had poured.
"Il miss you," he said.
"I know," I replied brushing my lips across his.
When I had given Aislin her cookies and milk and talked to her for a little bit I walked back into the kitchen to see Steven once more before I left.
"I'm so proud of you," I commented as I walked over next to him.
"Because. When Aislin was in England you wanted nothing to do with the girls or responsibility, and look at you. Cooking dinner and making sure everything is alright. I can't believe it's the same person."
"Well I guess you rubbed off on me a little."
I giggled and gave him a peck on his cheek.
"Want a taste?" He asked holding up the spoon he was stirring the mashed potatoes with.
"Well they are my favorite!" I tasted it and quickly threw in slat, pepper and butter. I stirred it and tasted it. I repeated this about two more times before I let him have a taste.
"Much better, thanks," he said tasking them.
"I gotta go. I'll text you though."
"Alright love you."
"Love you too!" Our lips brushed once more in kiss and he held me close.
As I sat in my room I realized that I didn't want Steven to leave. I knew that even if his mom and Mr. Sanders didn't get married that Steven would still live here in Appleton but not next door. I realized that it would be harder on both of us if his mom and Mr. Sanders didn't get married. But it would also be hard for Aislin and him if they're parents did get married.
I had a choice. Did I go along with my friend to help her get her worst enemy out or did I side with the parents to keep my boyfriend close?
