Chapter 11 ~ Caitlyn’s POV

I skyped Aislin and told her about what had happened with Steven. She was not happy. I didn't tell Joe right away. Infact I haven't even told him yet. I think he should know that my first kiss was with another man, but I don't want him to know.

The next day after school I checked on the girls again. They seemed to be doing better. Instead if watching T.V. They were coloring.

"Hi Caitlyn," Alhana said as walked into the room.

"Hi girls," I replied.

"Look Caitlyn! I made this one for Aislin an this one for you!" Said Alana held up two sheets full if scribbles.

I let her tell me what they were before I put mine in my bag and started asking some questions.

"So girls is your dad doing any better?" I started.

"No. He still goes out every night but Steven has been taking care of us," Alhana plainly answered.

"Hey Cate," Steven said walking into the room, fully dressed.

"Don't call me Cate," I stated. He came up and put an arm around my waist and lightly hugged me.

"Get off me!" I shouted.

"Ok, ok," he said backing away from me and holding his hands up in front of him. He playfully smiled at me. I glared back.

"Do you girls need anything?" I asked tiring my attention back to the triplets.

"Can you get us some water? And new paper?" Alhana asked.

"And some cookies!" Alayne giggled.

"Sure," I replied smiling.

I waked into the kitchen. Steven followed me. I grabbed down the cups and stared filling them with water. Steven got the girls another stack of paper and walked in on my climbing on the counter to reach the cookies.

"Need help?" He asked friendly.

"No. Not from you. I've done this a million times," I replied with a glare.

I set down the cookie box and was about to "jump" down when Steven played his hands firmly on my waist and gently lifted me down. He smirked as I hastily turned around and placed some cookies in a plate for the girls. We, yes we, took the girls there snacks and he walked me to my backpack in the front hall. I slipped my backpack into my shoulders and called goodbye to the girls. They shouted their replied. I turned and looked at Steven.

"You have changed. Keep up the good work," I said my hand on the door knob.

"Was that a compliment?"

"Maybe."

"We'll I'm just doing this so maybe I can talk with Aislin and get out of this family."

I smile and walked bout the door. Am I falling for Steven? No. I couldn't be. I love Joe. Right?

I decided the last thing Aislin wanted to do while she was in London was to talk about my guy problems. I chose to text her that Steven was in.

I met up with Connor as Joe for a few hours to hang out and get some frozen yogurt. We laughed and talked, Joe hugged and put his arm around me, I snuggled into him like everything was normal but I couldn't get Steven out of my head.

Stevens POV

I heard one of the triplets call her name. She was back. I heard her sweet voice respond to them. I want that voice to same my name in a different tone than disgust and anger. I want to hold her. And I'm going to do just that.

I walked out of the office like room that I was in and saw her beautiful profile. She was smiling. How I love her smile. I walked over to her and our my arm around her waist. She yelled at me to take my arm off her an I did. The girls asked for new paper, and water and cookies.

Caitlyn walked into the kitchen and I followed her. I got the girls some paper and came back ino the kitchen to find Caitlyn climbing on the counters.

"Need any help?" I asked trying to be friendly. The one thing my dad taught me before he left is:'if you want a girl but she doesn't want you, start out with being nice to her being friends.' I had forgotten the advice the first time I had encountered Caitlyn in this house. So now I'm trying to make up for it.

"No. Not from you," she said glaring at me.

When she looked ready to "jump" down I placed my hands firmly on her waist and gently lifed her down. I smirked as She hastily turned around and placed some cookies in a plate for the girls. We, yes we, took the girls there snacks and I walked her to her back pack in the front hall. She slipped her back pack into her shoulders and called goodbye to the girls. They shouted their replied. She turned and looked at me.

"You have changed. Keep up the good work," She said her hand on the door knob.

"Was that a compliment?"

"Maybe."

"We'll I'm just doing this so maybe I can talk with Aislin and get out of this family."
