Ashton and I are partners for the project, and I'm sure it'll be great.
"Hey Laura!" Ashton yells, running down the hall to catch up with me after class.
"Oh hey Ashton." I say, smiling.
"I was wondering if maybe you didn't want to... uh, come over today after school? The boys and I have band practice at my house but after that we can work on the project." He says.
"Sure, sounds like fun. Besides, I'd love to hear you guys play. Luke has told me all about you guys." I say, making him blush a little. He's so cute..
"R-really? Ok! See you then!" he says, heading back to his next class.
It's 3:59. Class ends in 5... 4... 3... 2...
I gather my books and head to my locker. I texted my mom earlier to tell her I was gonna be at Luke's, and she said that was ok. I know I lied, just one little lie can't hurt! I'm gonna be with Luke, he's there too.
I head over to Ashton's house with Luke, and they start practicing while I do homework on the couch in Ashton's garage.
They start singing Heartbreak Girl, I love this song. Luke always sings it and plays it when I'm over at his house. I guess I started singing along, and didn't notice, but the boys did.
"Nice singing there Laura." Luke says, smirking.
"Very funny Luke. I've heard that for weeks, you always play it when I'm over." I say, closing my algebra book.
When the boys finally finish rehearsing, Luke comes over, hugs me, and kisses the top of my head. He's like a brother, we do this a lot.
"I hear you're staying a little while to work on a project with Ash." Luke says.
"Yep." I say, popping the 'p'.
"Be careful and don't do anything stupid, Laur." he says, getting up and walking to his car.
When Luke, Michael, and Calum leave, Ashton comes and sits next to me.
"So, what are we supposed to do again?" he asks, looking at me.
"We're supposed to do a "visual representation" of Fahrenheit 451." I say, reading the paper with the requirements on it.
"Okay. Um... we should do a house. And- And set it on fire! With some miniature books on it, ya know here. To represent the houses with the books in it that the guy would burn? You know." He says.
"Wow, that's a great idea Ashton." I say.
We head up to his room and start working. We build a house out of small wood planks from Ashton's dad's supplies, and we head out back to burn it.
"Ready?" he asks, lighter in his hand.
"Ready." I say.
He walks over and burns places into the wood and leaves them charred and burned up.
It actually turns out really cool...
I decided to stay a little while and talk to Ashton, I mean my mom isn't gonna be home for a little while longer so why not.
We head up to his room and are sitting on his bed talking and listening to music. We were pretty much talking about anything and everything.
"Hey Laura, you seem pretty cool." Ashton says, turning and looking at me.
"T-thanks, you too." I stutter.
He leans in and kisses me, and we end up making out, whoops.
After a while, I grab my stuff and run home. Talk about a hell of a night... but I liked it.
