“I can’t believe it’s happening on this important day of our lives!” I cried as soon as I ended the call, taking my seat back at the table.
“What happened?” asked Niall in his thick Irish accent.
“We need to hand in our assignment before four but just look at the time! It’s already ten minutes to four!” Alie answered immediately as fast as a canon–or as fast as Liam.
“Come on, let’s go. We have no time to waste!” said Lizzy in a hurry as she got to her feet.
“Woah woah, hold on!” Liam chimed in. “What about our interview? We did not just come here to be treated like this.”
“We’re so seriously seriously seriously sorry but we really need to hustle,” I replied.
“Please don’t go,” Zayn pleaded and it stopped me. Like he just casted a spell on me.
“How about you guys just wait here until we come back?” Mia grinned. “We promise we won’t be long.”
“No way!” Harry protested. “We’re coming with you.”
“Ugh, whatever! Move it already or we’re going to be late!” Lizzy complained. We rushed down the street to find a bus–a big red bus–as we carried our assignment in a bagpack.
“Look! There it is.” Lizzy pointed toward a bus and seemed like it’d started to move. “It’s leaving! Hurry!”
“I love big red bus!” said Louis wild eyed before scurrying back toward us who had started to run.
Louis was the first to get on the bus. “Come on, give me your hand!” shouted Louis reaching his hand out for Lizzy. She took his hand and quickly pulled her into the bus. Zayn was doing the same thing to me when he reached the bus. Harry noticed that Mia was being left behind, so he went back and grabbed Mia’s hand before they ran back to catch the bus. Mia was taken aback of what Harry just did and she was blushing so hard her cheeks could've explode.
“Hey, are you going to leave us?” shouted Niall who was way behind us. His face had turn red from all those running. And behind him was Alie.
“Faster Alie!” I shouted as I stuck my head out the window.
“Liam do something!” Lizzy shouted from behind me. Lucky for us the bus is empty or else people would think we’re in some kind of a movie.
Liam nodded and went to the front of the bus. “Stop the bus! Our friends are still out there!” ordered Liam to the bus driver. As the bus stopped, Niall and Alie jumped together into the bus, sweat dripping off their foreheads. Actually, we were all panting and sweating like hell! We had a great conversation with the boys while we’re on our way to our college and turned out they were really friendly actually.
We reached the destination about fifteen minutes later and we were rushing off since it’s almost time! We asked the boys to wait for us outside. Then, as fast as lightnight we ran passed through the glass door, up the spiral stairs and finally entered Mrs. Macon room. She was sitting at her table in her comfy leather chair looking up at us over her glasses. As soon as we put it on her table, the clock in her room striked four. We felt so relieved like an enormous rock had been lifted off our heads because we did it right on time. Bingo! Biiinngggoooooo!!!
“Right on time, girls,” she took off her glasses and it hung around her neck. “Good job. You may go and enjoy your summer.”
"Thanks, Mrs. Macon," I thanked her before we sprinted out of her room and out into the nice warm summer.
“Phewh! Finally! Now let’s go back to our bakery and start the interview without worries,” said Mia once she stepped out of the entrance door, dramatically wiping the sweat off her forehead with the back of her hand.
“Wait," Liam interrupted. "You’re saying that we have to go back to the bakery after all this rush?”
“So? what did you expect us to do?” asked Lizzy.
“Tell you what, how about you guys come with us to the beach?” suggested Louis as he crossed his arms over his chest.
“To the beach?”
“Yeah, since you made us rush, catching up the bus, running here and there, you girls must follow us to the beach,” Zayn ordered.
“To the beach?” I asked again, raising up my left eyebrow.
“Come on, it’s just going to be an interview,” Niall added.
“But how are we going to start the interview without the crew and all the camera thingy,” asked Mia.
“No worries we got this, okay?” Niall said assuredly.
“But the real problem here is how exactly are we going to get there first?” I asked, raising up both eyebrows now.
“By a big red bus!” Louis answered enthusiastically throwing his arms up in the air.
So we followed them as if we had nothing to do but we had no choice and we need to get the interview done as soon as possible. Actually we didn't mind if we had to spend time with the boys all day because, c'mon, it's the One Direction! Who wouldn't want it?
On the way to the beach, we all fell asleep on their shoulders. We felt like we’re sleeping with our Prince Charming! How wonderful was that? Just like a dream came true. It was almost dusk when we arrived at the beach. And I had a feeling it’s going to be the most romantic place we’d ever been to.
We started the interview as soon as we got there using Harry’s phone to record it spontaneously and it lasts around an hour or less.
“It’s starting to get boring.” Mia grumbled. “There’s no one here except us! Beach is supposed to be full of people but it almost feels like a funeral?” Yeah, she got bored really easily except when it comes to Harry. Truth was we were all bored. But for the lads, this might as well be a gateway from all those screaming fans.
“Well, probably it’s our lucky day.” Liam shrugged. “Hey, why don’t we set up a campfire? Since it’s already dark here and…”
“Oh I love campfire!” Mia responded before Liam could finish his words. And yes, she also got excited really easily. You have no idea how hyperactive she can be.
“Sounds like a music to my ear!” I chimed in.
