9. The Other Wing

"You catch on pretty quick," said Magolor as they trained. "You truly have it in you."

"Thanks," said Kirby. "I think I'm ready."

"Are you? Well, head out there then!"

Kirby went to find King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Waddle Dee. They were in the lounge where Magolor's fellow pilots hung out. "It's time to find the other wing," he said.

And so they set off.

This time Kirby's warp star brought them to a sea shore! Ahead, there was sand and several tiny seas...and plenty of minions. This was Kirby's chance to try out a Copy Ability!

"See the sword-wielding minion?" said Kirby. "Whatever you do, don't slash him."

Kirby walked up to him. He inhaled the minion...and then the process went through. The minion cycled through Kirby's system until Kirby got a jolt. He looked down and he was holding a sword! He slashed a minion coming their way.

"This must be what it's like to be you, Meta Knight," said Kirby.

Meta Knight sighed. "So true. I'm glad you found a way. Look! More Scarfies!"

Kirby walked up to them.

"Hello, weasels," said the Scarfies. "I suggest you'll remind us of your puny inhale?"

"As a matter of fact...I've changed." Kirby took out his sword.

"How did you do that?"

"Your own inspiration has helped me improve. I should thank you." He slashed them, and they fell to the ground. "And let that be a lesson to you!"

"Great job, Kirby!" said King Dedede. "You rock."

Kirby nodded. "See the spikes and water ahead? We'll have to climb the rope hanging above."

And they did. They shuffled across the horizontal line...but there was something even more dangerous up ahead.

"A cannon! Shooting upward!" said Waddle Dee. "Can your sword chop the cannonballs?"

"You betcha!" said Kirby. He cut the cannonball. The sword bounced upward from the impact, sending Kirby up with it. Luckily he managed to grab on to the rope. The edge was only 10 feet away.

The friends landed. Rushing past trees dropping fiery coconuts, they found a warp star similar to Kirby's. They sailed on it...right toward the second wing!
