"You wait in the car.", Draco advised me and closed the door behind him.
Together with his chauffeur, he walked up the steps, to a house, I recognized. It was the Malfoy Manor. My mind wouldn't understand. I thought, his parents didn't know he was back in England. Hastily, I decided, to get out of the car. Easier said, than done, the door wouldn't open. Was it hexed? Desperately, I tried to open the car door but I couldn't manage. I could have hit myself, as Draco returned and simply unlocked the car. He grabbed my arm roughly and pulled me along, we rushed past his parents and several people, most likely Death Eaters.
"Draco," I whined, "you're hurting me."
He ignored me and dragged me along. What made him change like that? The man I had mistaken for our chauffeur, probably was a Death Eater too and opened a door, which Draco pushed me through. I faced him. Lord Voldemort looked even scarier than I had ever imagined.
"So you are Miss Granger?", his dark voice filled the room and he gestured the chauffeur guy, to push me nearer.
"Smart move of you Draco. Very smart move indeed, to bring your girlfriend here, before I would search for her.", he whispered, still his voice was very intimidating.
"Thank you, my lord.", Draco said, obviously not daring, to even say another word.
"You may leave now Draco.", he offered but it sounded more like a demand.
Draco hesitated but bowed and left the room. One of the Death Eaters, or perhaps both, outside closed the door behind him. With Draco gone, all my hopes had vanished too.
"So, Hermione - I believe your name - I only witnessed Draco call you Mione all the time. Generous, as I am, I decided to let you live for his sake." he explained.
Slowly and holding his head up, he strode towards me. Actually, he wasn't walking, he was floating. His feet didn't touch the floor, at no point. He was tall anyways, but the fact that he was floating, forced me, to lay my head back further, to look at him.
"Nevertheless, you will have to prove my decision right.", he broke it down, "Which means I have a task for you."
I bit my lip, not sure, whether I should agree or not. However, something in his voice made me feel, like I wouldn't have a choice.
