Stuck In The Carriage
As soon as the train stopped Malfoy sat up and stared out of the window. After Crabbe and Goyle left the department he turned towards me.
"You would really be a good spy Granger. Think about it. You know the Dark Lord will soon be back to his full power again. You aren't stupid, you know that it's more intelligent to be friends with both sides. Pretending to be good and support Potter but instead spying on him for the Dark Lord could help you survive. You would fit perfectly in this scheme justthink about it!" he whispered and took my hand in his.
"Well if you put it that way I have to think it through." I replied and pretended to think, pulling my hand out of his. "No!"
"Think about it. Now let's go and get a carriage before all of them are gone." he requested and pulled me out of the department.
He pushed me through the open door of a carriage not giving me the chance to turn around to search for Ron and Harry. I seated myself on one of the benches, Malfoy followed closed the door behind him and sat down opposite to me.
"I will never turn to the dark side, Malfoy. Perhaps you're right and it would be more intelligent to be the spy for the Dark Lord but I'll never cheat on my friends or my beliefs. Nor would I as a muggle-born even think of working for the man who wants to kill me and people of my kind." I told him after the wagon set off.
"You should have been born as a pure blood. It would suit you so much better being a Slytherin. Imagine running around with my friends and me, being feared by the other students. Soon being feared by wizards in general. You would be respected as a Slytherin." he sighed and looked me straight in my eyes.
"Is that an offer? Am I free to join your group without being a Slytherin?" I wanted to knowmy curiosity piqued.
He smiled at me but took some time to overthink it.
"I have to ask the others first." he finally told me. "We all know Pansy's answer I guess."
Ask the others first as if he wasn't the leader and decision maker of the group.
"I think she'll support you." he added with a small laugh.
"Okay you do that. I will too overthink this decision again." I decided opened the carriage door and left him behind.
