41. In between sides

In between sides

Harry was about to deny, as Ginny pulled him aside. Suddenly the heavy doors flew open and Draco stood in the doorway.

"No way you're joining the enemies.", Draco yelled as he ran towards me.

"Enemies? We used to be best friends," Ginny whimpered and unsuccessfully attempted to stop the tears from running.

"I don't see you as an enemy. I'm in between two sides, yours and his," I replied and looked at Draco.

"Show me your arm and tell them again, that you do not completely belong to me," Draco growled.

I couldn't hold the tears back any longer and teared up.

"I don't want to lose either of you," I complained and rushed out.

"Mione," Draco approached me.

I wanted to send him away but didn't manage saying anything at all. He took place next to me and embraced me tightly, taking care that nobody would see us in the dark niche.

"I'm sorry, but I have to act tough in front of them," he whispered and kissed me on the head.

"Does that mean, I can join the DA," I asked hopefully.

"No, I'm afraid not," he mumbled, "unless you gather information and pass them on."

I glared at him but he just embraced me tighter. Would I be ableto betray my friends on a whole new level?
