The buzzing noise coming from my alarm clock woke me up. I sighed as thoughts of my first day in college ran through my mind. Today was the day. I wanted it to be perfect, not to be horrendous. I want to fit in but not be a follower. I want to be independent.
I turned off the buzzing and sat up out of bed. Savannah was humming as she brushed her wildly curly hair out. I cringed at the brush she was using but decided to keep my mouth shut. She turned and smiled at me setting the brush down.
"You're a heavy sleeper" She chuckled. I yawned quirking an eyebrow at her in confusion.
"What do you mean?" I finally asked. She smirked.
"I used the hair dryer and you didn't even budge, for a minute I thought you were dead." She explained. I laughed shrugging it off. I've been known to sleep through nearly anything. I guess it's a good thing since I would have ripped her head off if she woke me up.
I slowly dressed myself and ate my cereal. Savannah was ready before me but said she would wait for me and walk with me to class. She wanted to introduce me to some people if we had time. I'm usually punctual but I don't know what to wear. My roommate was only wearing a sweater and yoga pants. Not really my style so I grabbed jeans and a T-shirt and threw on a purple sweat shirt over it. Once I was dressed I grabbed my books and Savannah led me through campus.
She showed me where all my classes were, which to my luck were all practically next door to each other. We had the same first class so we hung out around there. Louis eventually met us there. I awkwardly turned away when they began making out against the wall. I never understood couples like that. I would rather not make out in public. A simple peck is more polite.
A boy with green eyes and short blonde hair walked up to us, rolling his eyes at the connected two against the wall.
"Oh my god Lou, you can't keep your tongue out of her mouth for five seconds?" He sighed shaking his head. I chuckled at his humor Savannah pulled away from Louis flipping the bird at the new boy standing beside me.
"Shut up Zach or I'll tell you-know-who about you-know-what." She growled. That shut the blonde (who I know figured was named Zach) up. He sighed shaking his head.
"Anyways, I came to take Louis away, we need to get to class. The new arts teacher marks you tarty if you aren't in your seat by the bell." Zach explained turning to me and smiling finally realizing I wasn't anyone he knew.
"Hello, and who might you be?" He asked, a soft smile playing on his lips. I noticed a single dimple on his left cheek that would pop out whenever he smiled. I blushed looking down for a moment.
"Ace. I'm Savannah's knew roommate" I answered after a moment of awkward silence. He laughed nodding.
"I'm sorry you have to live with this one. She's quite the nut." He smirked before he turned his attention back to Louis who was kissing Savannah goodbye. Then they were gone and I was left once again with my roommate.
"Sorry about him, he's a real jerk." She growled. I laughed shaking my head, I thought he was pretty funny actually. But I'm a little confused on what Savannah has on him to scare him shitless. I didn't get a chance to respond a group of girls walked past us all screaming about something. Savannah instantly ran to them squealing when she finally got to them.
"No f*cking way!" She screeched. My curiosity was getting the best of me so I wandered over to them to see a girl looking down at her phone and crying. I was slightly concerned but no one was comforting her. What was happening?
"When did this happen!?" A girl asked. The crying one took a deep breath before stuttering something out.
"This morning. I tweeted them three times and then..." She didn't finish her sentence with words she just screamed. I winced, what the hell.
"You lucky b*tch!" Savannah cursed but she smiled at the girl who laughed at her.
"I know! I just wish I could go to their concert but they're too expensive" She sighed Savannah nodded before saying goodbye and walking back to me.
"Do you mind telling me what the hell that was?" I asked, confusion in every form oozing out of me. She shrugged at me.
"Ashton Irwin followed her on twitter" She responded.
"Ashton.... what? Who’s that and why does it make you all crazy and cry?" I asked. This is why I never had friends who obsessed over the latest boy band. I never understood it. They're just regular guys, they just so happen to have the word famous basically tattooed on their foreheads.
"He's the drummer for this band 5 Seconds of Summer" She explained.
"Oh so another boy ba-"
"Not a boy band. Band." She corrected a slight edge in her voice.
"It's a group of guys who can't sing and don't play instruments. It's a boy band" I countered. Savannah glared at me. I was slightly scared, who knew what she would do to me. She could technically kick me out of the dorm. Then where would I sleep? I really need to be careful what I say.
"You should probably do some research before you falsely assume these things Ace. They are a band. They play instruments obviously since I did say Ashton plays the drums. So shut up." She glared harder. I sighed raising my hands in defeat. I don't want her to kill me.
"Fine sorry, you can show me more about them later how about that?" I offered. She rolled her eyes. The bell rang so we made our way into the class room. I didn't see a teacher so we just took the seats in the back of the room and waited. Eventually everyone sat down and there was only one person left standing. A boy with blonde hair who didn't look all that much older than myself. But something about him seemed familiar. But I can't quite figure out what. Then he spoke.
"Good morning class. I'm Mr. Horan and I'll be your English teacher this semester." He introduced. I really wish I could figure out why he looks so familiar. I turned to Savannah to ask but she was asleep on her desk. I sighed. Oh well I guess.
I was already running late this morning and it was only the first day of school. I seriously need to get a better alarm. I didn't want to start the year off in this way but I guess I don't have a choice at this point.
I couldn't really sleep last night, or the night before. Which is the main reason why I slept through both my alarms this morning. I had o e dark haired girl on my mind all weekend. I know what it seemed like the other night. It seemed like I was drunk but I wasn't. Unlike my mystery girl I can hold my liquor.
The few drinks I did consume barely got me buzzed. She was completely wasted but it didn't drain her of any of her beauty. I really wish I had gotten her name. I really wish I could have met her and done what we did when she was sober. But unfortunately that isn't what happened.
For all I know I'll never meet her again, and it's probably for the best we probably wouldn't have anything in common and she would never want to date a teacher like myself.
I scarfed down breakfast at a new record speed and gelled up my hair as fast as I could. I was out the door within ten minutes which surprised me. I grabbed my helmet and ran down the stairs. I decided to take my motorcycle today, it's faster and I can weave in and out of traffic legally.
I revved the engine and kicked off the ground. I soared down the road zooming past stores and restaurants. I was completely focus on making it to school with time to spare so I could set up the lesson for this morning. To my luck I got to the campus with twenty minutes. I don't know how I did it but I did.
I walked briskly up to the campus wandering through the slightly deserted hallway and down to my classroom. I unlocked the door before opening it and entering it. I set all my things behind my desk peeling off my leather jacket to reveal my light blue button up shirt and red tie.
I got to work on writing down the lesson and everything else that was needed on the board. I was about halfway through it when the door opened. I turned expecting to see a group of students making their way into the classroom but I was wrong. Instead it was Kimberly, the teacher from the other day.
"Good morning Niall" She greeted with a sinister smile. I smiled back at her politely. She was wearing a sleek black pencil skirt with a red blouse that showed off her boobs. It was slightly inappropriate for the working environment but I wasn't going to be the one to tell her not to wear such things. I peeled my eyes away from her bust and met her brown eyes. Her auburn hair was falling down her back as she leaned against my desk.
"Good morning Ms. Mason" I greeted happily. She chuckled shaking her head at me, her eyes crinkling as she laughed.
"Call me Kimberly. The students only have to call me Ms. Mason" She smiled. I nodded in understanding continuing what I was writing on the board.
"So how was your weekend Niall?" She asked. I finished the last word for the board and turned to her to give her my full attention.
"It was..." I paused, I can't very well tell her I went to a wild party and screwed a random girl. That wouldn't look very professional. "... Quiet." I lied. She smiled at me.
"Sounds lovely. We have an English department meeting after school. I hope to see you there?" She asked a hopeful gleam in her brown eyes.
"I wouldn’t miss it for the world" I laugh. She smirks at me nodding. She stood up straighter from her desk walking closer to me.
"I have one last thing." She purred, she was now about two feet in front of me. I would be lying if I didn't say I was slightly nervous with her closer proximity.
"And w-what’s that?" I stuttered. She smirked, her hand came up to my shoulder, the blood red color of her long fingernails were sinful. Her lips came closer to my ear, sending shivers down my spine.
"Dinner, take me out to dinner" She purred. My eyes widened, she wanted to go out with me? Me? Why would a woman like this, want to go out with a guy like me? My mouth was open slightly, she chuckled pushing my jaw up with her finger.
"Have the answer by after the meeting then darling. I'll be waiting. Goodbye" She smirked turning and walking slowly and gracefully out of the classroom. My eyes may have or may have not wandered down her back and to her rather large butt in that skin tight skirt she was wearing. But I was pulled out of my perverted thoughts by the bell ringing. Students slid into the classroom all finding a seat they wanted. I didn't have a seating chart, I don't really care where they sit as long as they aren't disruptive.
Finally all the students were seated, the chatter died down and all that was left was for me to introduce myself.
"Good morning class. I'm Mr. Horan and I'll be your English teacher this semester." I prattled off. My eyes roamed the students. Then they fell on one girl in particular. She had turned away to speak to the other girl beside her. My heart raced, it couldn't be. No, she was over age. She didn't look to be a college student.
I screwed my student and from the roster that I'm calling out, her names Ace. What a beautiful name for such a beautiful girl.
Well, I fucked my student. That has to be the worst way to start off your new teaching career.
