It was one in the afternoon and I was still standing in my mess of a room looking for something to wear! Nothing though. I can't seem to find a single outfit that I like. After about 15 more minutes of pointless, I end up just settling with a plain grey top, black skinny's and my red Van's and letting my hair down to do whatever it wants. For my makeup, I put on mascara because I don't actually feel like putting much effort into it. Since I'm not putting a ton of effort into my outfit or hair, why bother with a bunch of makeup? It's not like I will be impressing anybody anyways.
(If you guys were wondering, this is what Kara looks like!)
I finished with my lame excuse of an outfit and checked the time, 1:49. I still have 10 minutes till I needed to be over there. Normally if I was invited to something then I would leave a few minutes early but I don't wanna show up early and have Luke thinking I was in a hurry to get over there. Yeah, I want to be friends with someone- especially Luke- but I am not gonna make myself seem desperate about. That's the way to never make friends.
Waiting till exactly two till leaving was taking forever. Honestly the longest ten minutes of my life but when two o'clock finally rolled around, I grabbed my purse and phone and headed over to Luke's house not bothering to tell my mom because she won't care anyways. She just want's to get her stuff done. Even if it means ignoring her only daughter.
Walking up the steps of Luke's house, I knocked lightly on the door only to have it opened within seconds. The door flew open but to m surprise, a tan guy with black hair opened the door with a huge smile on his face.
"Kara!" he yelled.
"Umm, hi?" I said a tad bit confused.
"Come on in silly! We have been waiting for you!" he yelled again.
He turned on his heels and headed into the house with me following closely behind. I shut the door before catching up to the guy and following him into the basement where I saw everybody else. Luke looked up as soon as he heard us coming down the stairs and when he saw me, I noticed a smile form on his lips making me smile and look down as my cheeks turn a dark shade of pink.
"Guys, Kara is here!" the black haired boy yelled again.
"Umm, I don't wanna sound rude or anything but- how do you know my name?" I asked looking around the room at the other guys.
"Luke wouldn't shut up about you," a guy with brownish hair sniggered.
My eyes widened and I looked over at Luke who had his face buried in his hands shaking his head. Obviously he was embarrassed about me but I am used to people being embarrassed by me so it's whatever. But something about it coming from Luke kinda hurts.
I put on a fake smile to mask to slight hurt and look at the other guys, "Well, it seems that you guys have me at a disadvantage then. You know my name but I don't know yours-"
"I'm Ashton!" the one with the brownish hair said smiling with his drumsticks in his hand.
"I'm Calum," the black haired boy who brought me down here said as he walked over to his bass.
"Hello," I smiled.
"And I'm Michael- but you can call me Mikey if you wanna," the boy with the bright green hair said waving as he sat with his guitar.
"Hi Mikey," I chuckled. "And- well, I already know you Luke."
He looked up from his hands and smiled at me as he walked over to his microphone,"Well, are you ready to hear us practice?"
I giggle slightly and nod my head.
The practiced for what seemed like hours but I don't mind because they were good and Luke had a seriously amazing voice! They sung mostly Green Day but there was a few other bands in there they practiced and I can defiantly say that i was really impressed by how good they did.
Calum was really good on bass, Mikey was great on guitar, Ashton was unbelievable on his drums and Luke's voice was the most amazing thing I have ever heard. The way he would belt out the notes for the songs they practiced gave me goosebumps.
"So, what do you think?" Luke asked as they finished the last song of their practice for the day.
I smiled and retracted myself from my thoughts, "It was amazing! You guys play so well and Luke- your voices is so beautiful and-" I stopped myself before I embarrassed myself that I just did. "It- umm, it was great."
Ashton let out a slight chuckle which led to Calum and Mikey doing the same thing making me blush. I am guessing Luke noticed me blushing because when I looked back at him he had a cheesy little grin on his face and was blushing just as much as I was.
"Well, I guess I should probably be getting back home," I smile as I stand up from the stairs and grab my purse.
"I'll walk you over," Luke insists putting his guitar on the stand and walking over to me.
I give him a small smile before turning and heading up the stairs. Once we are outside of his house on the front porch, I stop and turn to Luke, "Well I had fun."
"Yeah, we should totally hang out sometime?"
"That would be fun!"
"How about Friday? We could go up to the mall or something? Or you can come over whenever and just chill?"
"Whatever is easiest for you- I am always home," I chuckle.
"Okay," he smiles. "Oh, I do warn you that the guys are here everyday from sunrise to sunset practically-"
"Oh, it's fine. The more friends the better."
"See you soon?"
He suddenly pulls me into a hug and practically squeezes me to death. Yeah, he is defiantly strong! When he pulls away from the hug he gives me one last smile and I do the same before heading back over to my house. As I approach my door, I am tempted to look back and see if he is still standing there watching me but I don't because I would rather not know.
