Dance. That one word took up my entire life.
It's what I live. What I breath. And I would not be myself with out it.
"Hey, I'm Lucy," said a blonde girl who was smiling at me.
"Melody," I said shaking her hand.
"So, you ready for the national dance academy?" She asked me grinning. She was pretty, but the clique if a ballerina.
"It's what I live for," I said not sure if I was being sarcastic. She must have thought I was evaluate she laughed a lite airy laugh.
"Don't we all?"she sorta asked.
Room 1519. That was my dorm. My roommate's name was Clarissa Grace.
When I got there is saw a plain white room yah looked incomplete, because it was. It had a unclothed bed, desk, chair, and dresser.
"Hi," someone said and I jumped.
"Hi. Are you Clarissa?" I asked turning to see a beautiful girl with her hair going down to her hips.
"Yeah, but everyone calls me Clary. Or if your a jokester, then it's Clarity," she explained.
"Hi. I'm Melody," I said shaking her hand.
"Wow. Melody and Clarity. Coinsidence? I think not," she said and we both laughed.
"Do you want to go mingle? Meet some cute academy guys?" She sing-songed.
" ah," I said thinking. It was either that or unpack, "yeah. Sure," I said. I wasnt in a packing mood.
The living room had a huge orange sofa along with a flat screen tv.
"Hey there gorgeous," someone whistled. I turned to see who they were whistling at, and meet a couple of stares.
"Um.. Hi?" I said in a questioning tone.
"Ignore them. Their idiots," Lucy from earlier said.
"They were joking right?" I asked.
"Why?" She asked raising an eyebrow.
"Because no one ever whistles at me. No one at my old school even noticed me," I explained.
"Well then there blind, because you are go-or-geous," she said sounding out gorgeous. She was probably a little drunk by the way she lisped.
"Yeah. Ok,"I said questioningly. I was getting to be judge mental.
"Anywho, that's Nelly," she said pointing to a blonde hair boy with green eyes that looked stuck up.
"That's Mia," she said pointing to a girl who had the same features, including the stuck upness, as Nelly.
"Are they related?" I asked and she nodded.
"That's Smith," she said about a brown haired boy with dark brown eyes. He saw me looking and came over to me and Lucy.
"Smith Lee," he said extending a hand.
"Melody Clark," I said shaking his hand.
"So, what dance do you do?" He asked me over the music.
"Ballet, hip pop, tap, and jazz," I replied.
"So, pretty much all of them?" He asked and I giggled.
"Yeah," I said then someone called him to a group of guys that we're checking at each girl that passed.
"Sorry, got to go. See you later Melody?" He asked.
"You can call me Mel, and yeah," I said and he turned away. I meet a few more people, but none quite stood out like Smith Lee.
"Mel," someone said throwing a pillow at me.
"Huh?" I said groggily.
"Get up, time for rehearsel," said another voice. I opened my eyes and saw Lucy, Clarissa, Smith, Mia, Nelly, and a new kid.
"Clarissa..." I started cautionly.
"Yes Mel?" She asked sweetly.
"Why are there people in our room?" I asked and she smiled brightly.
"Cause we're going to the beach!" She said.
"I thought we had rehearsel?"I asked
"No. I just thought you wouldn't get up," she said and I put on my glasses that were black rimmed, square, and large.
"Um, how am I suppose to get changed?"I asked. Normally we change in the room, but the room was full of people...
"Boys, out!" She said to them and after they left she turned to me ad said, "voila!"
