On a short break in their tour bus, Niall, Harry, Zayn, Liam, and Louis decide to play a game, one that could go wrong very easily - truth or dare. Soon, it's Niall's turn and he chooses dare. As a joke, the boys dare him to ask out a girl during their next concert. Nothing but innocent fun right? Think again.

3. Stop Dreaming About Food

~~~Niall’s P.O.V~~~
I tried not to look at the front section the whole night, knowing that soon I’d have to follow through with the dare. As the last chords of Over Again rang out, I knew I’d have to choose soon. There were only three more songs until Kiss You, the song that would determine it all. I picked up my guitar and starting strumming the opening pattern of Little Things. Our fans went crazy. By the time Zayn sang, “Your hand fits in mine like it’s made just for me,” half the stadium was in tears. It was still unreal how we had this effect on them. I couldn’t believe how dedicated some of them were. We owed everything to them and I knew any of them would be overjoyed if I asked them out. Suddenly I felt an elbow jab into my side. Luckily I was used to the boys craziness by now, so I didn’t stop strumming.
“Psst. Nialler. It’s almost your turn to sing. Stop dreaming about food,” Harry jokingly whispered in my ear.
“Very funny,” I replied, but then noticed he was right.
As I heard the last line of the chorus, I started singing, “You’ll never love yourself half as much as I love you. You’ll never treat yourself right dar-”
I paused for a moment. Well, it seemed like ten minutes, but I think it was only a second. Unconsciously I found myself scanning the front section of the stadium. As expected, many of them were crying, trying to sing the words along with me. I then noticed her. I knew she was going to be the one I was going to ask out tonight. She had to be. Her long brown hair and green eyes stood out from the rest. She wasn’t crying, but I could see her lips moving along with the words from where I sat. At her feet was a poster, but all I could see was the word, Nandos. She was my princess and I knew if she had the personality to match her looks, it wouldn’t be just one date. The girl was holding her friend’s hand, who, although completely gorgeous, wasn’t exactly my type. Thoughts swirling through my head, I felt Harry’s elbow in my side again.
Blinking, I continued singing, hoping the fans didn’t notice my pause, “-ling but I want you to. If I let you know I’m here, for you, maybe you’ll love yourself like I love you, oh.”
After the song was over, we did a little funny side performance like always, and launched into our cover of Teenage Dirtbag.
While Zayn was singing, Harry leaned over and whispered to me again, “Okay, seriously, what’s up? You seem off today. Is it the dare? Look, you don’t have to do it if you really don’t want to.”
“No…I really want to,” I said shocking him.
“What?!” Harry covered his mic so it wouldn’t pick the conversation up.
“See the girl with the brown hair? Front row sort of in the middle? You need to call her up.”
“Oh my god I can’t believe you’re actually doing this. Holy-”
I noticed Liam giving us a look and said, “Look, we gotta go sing, but make sure you call her number.”
“I don’t know what it is and besides Paul gave me a sheet I have to follow.”
“Well, hopefully she’s on there and if not, count the seats and try to figure it out. Please?”
Liam then walked over to us, “Harry. Niall. People are going to start rumors if you don’t stop talking during the show.”
“Yes daddy,” Harry laughed and walked to the other side of the stage and started high-fiving the fans.
 I finished Teenage Dirtbag and sang through Rock Me without another distraction or pause. Soon, Harry looked at me and nodded, signaling he was going to start calling up the fifty lucky Directioners. He just needed my “introduction.”
“How are all my crazy mofos doing tonight?!” I shouted.
The crowd screamed their approval back.
“Good because tonight, we have a very special surprise for you!!!”
The crowd screamed again.
“Harry is going to call up 50 of you to come help us dance on stage to our next song which I think you all know, Kiss You!!!”
I passed the microphone to Harry who said, “Okay if you are wearing a red bracelet, check the number on that. If I call your number go to the gate in the front row on the left or right, whichever you’re closest to. Security will then help you on stage.”
The stadium, especially the front section, roared. I had never heard the crowd this loud before. It was crazy.
Harry started calling the numbers, while I watched for the one girl who would receive the backstage pass that was tucked inside my back pocket.
The crowd for once was silent, all wanting to hear their number called. Soon, the number 21 was called and I noticed the girl jump up from her seat, shocked and excited. She handed her poster to her friend and ran to the gate, surprisingly well in what looked like fairly high heels. She walked up to the steps and my whole world was put in slow motion, like a cheesy romance movie. As the boys and I were being mobbed by the shouting fan-girls (many seemed to forget I hated when they screamed in my face), I noticed she stood back a little. Not like she was nervous, just like she wanted to give us room. I liked her even more. Soon, Harry stopped calling the numbers and the stadium booed. He shouted apologies and the beginning notes of Kiss You started playing, followed by Zayn’s voice. The girls around me started jumping and dancing, trying to get closer to us. As for me, I just tried to get closer to the girl. It wasn’t hard since nobody could move much with all the people on stage.
Hidden by the crowd, I switched off my mic and whispered in her ear, “Hello. My name’s Niall.”
“Oh my god,” the girl turned around to face me, trying not to scream.
“It’s okay, look, I just wanted to give you this,” I handed her the backstage pass.
“For-for me?” she looked shocked.
“Yup. I just thought I’d do a nice thing and surprise a fan tonight.”
“This is crazy. Thank you so much. I-”
“It’s nothing,” I smiled. “Just have fun tonight. I have to go sing now though, okay?”
“Okay. Wait though,” she touched my arm, hesitating.
“I came with a friend. I’m sorry, but I can’t just leave her.”
Seeing the sadness in her eyes made me want to cry, “Don’t worry about it. She can come too.”
I walked away, switching back on my mic and singing the chorus with the rest of the boys. I watched as the girl’s face lit up with even more excitement than before. Harry smiled at me and I knew that really soon, I would get to see her again.
