Angel's head spun all through Language Arts as the really young blonde teacher talked about an Essay due in a week. Her words went in one ear and out the other like usual, but this time his mind was on another subject, learning who he was. He was contemplating whether or not he should tell Nix. Was Macy even telling the truth? There was always the possibility that she lied. What would he even do in the possiblity that she lied? Angel needed to take the chance and go to this Corbin's Halloween Shop place if it meant possibly finding out what he truly was. If he told Nix he might try to convince him not to go. At that moment Angel decided not to tell Nix about meeting Macy. It would be better that way.
The obnoxious sound of the bell chimed into Angel's brain. It was the end of the day. Thank God, he thought. He gathered his stuff as fast as he could and dashed for the door. "Mr. Danvers!" a shrill woman's voice yelled after him. Oh, no. Angel froze in his tracks and turned around almost mechanically. His eyes landed upon the tall blonde teacher. She had her legs crossed almost cat-like and a sly smile was etched onto her flawless face. Her hair was tied into a ponytail and it cascaded down her back in a trail of sunshine blonde. her eyes were steel blue and held no emotion or glint of life. "Your grades are suffering." she said with her lips forming the words with quick motions.
"Uh, yeah, sorry Ms. Sarafin but I got to..." Angel bagan but thought better of it. He could see the woman's rock hard expression. This teacher looked about his age yet most likely had an IQ that was twice his. "What I mean is that I'm working on it." he started to turn away as he caught a glimpse of her eyes narrowing and her mouth forming into a hard line.
"You should know not to lie. I saw you staring off into space in my class. I don't know what was going on in your so-called brain, but it sure as hell wasn't language arts." she said studying Angel's lost expression. she sighed. "Just get on it, now." she turned away and so did he. What was her deal?
Just outside the door Angel was about to start jogging when someone behind him cleared their throat. He knew that sound. It was a sound he heard when a certain someone felt ignored. Great just what I need, he thought to himself. "Hey, Babe." Brittany said in her best suductive voice. Angel turned to face her with his best amused look but at this point he just wanted to get in his car and get home. "Sorry I missed Gym class, I was so looking forward to seeing you, baby." she said draping her arms around Angel's neck. He wasn't in the mood for this.
"Brittany, I have some stuff to do." he tried ditch her in a nice way but her devious face turned to a scowl.
"Oh, am I not important to you? Am I not good enough?" She asked yanking her hands away. her murky brown hair flipped as she turned her head. Her dark hazel eyes watched Angel's reaction from the side.
Angel sighed. "I'm not doing this right now." he said turning his back on her and started walking away. Brittany was Angel's Girlfriend more for appearence. she was the captain of the cheerteam and certainly looked the part but he honestly wasnt 100% into her like he felt he should be. The relationship was doomed fromt he start. Brittany was the only one trying to make it work while Angel constantly brushed her off like a bug. To him she might as well be one. Angel had the talent to manipulate people in ways others cannot. He used his good looks and charm to make anyone do what he wants.
"ANGEL!" Brittany yelled after him but as far as he was conserned her voice was an ant in another galaxy.
He was on his way to find out what he was and he was not about to be late. He needed to get ready. Ten o'clock is going to come like a racehorse out of the starting gates and he wasn't about to let Brittany of all people stop him.
