“So, I see you have agreed to keep up your end of the deal. I must admit Ariella, I didn’t think you could do it. I honestly didn’t. But nonetheless a deal is a deal and I am a man of my word. By the end of the week I shall grant you your freedom,” he said, with that stupid smirk still plastered on his face. But that’s when I noticed something. A figure standing in the doorway. That’s when all color drained from my face and I realized I had just made the biggest mistake of my life.
“So all of this was just some kind of plan!” Harry’s raging voice sounded from the door. I just kept my eyes locked onto the ground to afraid to look him in the eye.
“No Harry, you just don’t understand,” I whispered quietly, head still facing the floor.
“I wouldn’t understand? Understand what? That you basically betrayed us for your own selfish reasons!?” He roared, I just stared into his now blood red eyes with a look of hurt flashing through my eyes.
“No Harry, it’s not like that! If I hadn’t gone through with this he would have killed not only me but you to! I honestly couldn’t live with myself if I knew I had let anything happen to you!” I explained, whispering the last part quietly.
“Babe, absolutely nothing is going to happen to me. I want you to leave this place and give you and your sister the freedom you deserve. I want you to run and never look back. But just remember one thing, I will always love you.” Suddenly, his lips crashed onto mine. Instantly, I felt sparks. I felt sparks, nuclear bombs, and little butterflies fill my stomach. As his warm, squishy, soft lips moved in sync with mine I couldn’t help but smile. The kiss was absolutely perfect! Not a single flaw about it.
Before we knew it we were both pulling away. But as soon as we did we just stood there staring at each other. We just stared as if trying to process what had just happened. What did just happen? I mean Harry Styles just kissed me! Not only was he one fifth of the vampire council but also my owner. So why would he just kiss me? And why did I enjoy it so much?
“I-um, I’m so sorry! I have absolutely no idea where that just came from!” Harry stuttered, taking me from my thoughts. I just nodded at him, not really knowing what to say. I mean what exactly was I suppose to say! I’ve never really kissed anyone besides Louis. And even then it wasn’t a real kiss. It was more of his lips pressed against mine while he tried to slide his tongue into my mouth. So what exactly was I suppose to say?
“I-um, it’s alright. I guess it was partly my fault. I did kiss back after all,” I said, breaking the awkward silence that had grown upon us.
“Just out of curiosity, did you feel anything in that kiss?” He questioned, and I swear I saw something flash through his eyes. Hope.
“I um ya, ya I did,” I admitted truthfully, causing a smile to spread across his face.
“Really! Oh thank god, I thought I was the only one!” He sighed in relief. But that’s when I knew there was an unspoken question between the two of us. A question we both dreaded to ask the most at that moment. A question that would determine where we stand from this point on. And after a few moments of silence I knew I couldn’t take the pressure anymore. And without thinking I aloud those few simple words to escape my lips. The words that determined everything. The words that could possibly change my life forever.
“Where does this leave us?”
