I was on my computer in my room when the doorbell rang about three times in a row. I quickly closed my laptop and ran downstairs, slipping on my wood floor in my fuzzy slippers. I opened the door to find Megan dressed in all black.
"Hey, emergency," she said almost immediately.
"Read this," she said, handing me her phone. I began reading a text from Liam, saying how him and the boys were stuck at Jack Wills and were about to die.
"They're trapped?! How??" I asked.
"I don’t know, but we should save them."
"You really think we should go?" I asked. It's not that I hated them, we just weren't on talking terms currently.
"I’m definitely going. I just came here hoping you’d want to come with me," she told me.
"But why should I go? I’m just a normal girl, remember?"
"No, you’re Lily Matthews, who’s a Jack Wills model."
"Who was a Jack Wills model and will never get anywhere in life," I corrected her.
"No, that’s not true. Lily, just because some crazy fangirl, or whoever they are, tried to ruin it, doesn’t mean you should give up living you dream. They enjoy watching you sit and cry and think your life is over. Well it’s not. It will never be, cause you’re pretty amazing."
Tears began rolling down my cheeks. "You really think we can save them?" I whispered.
"I think we have faith on our side, so yes. I think we’ll be able to."
"And.. do you think we can get our jobs back?" I asked, considering coming back to Jack Wills.
"We won’t know for sure until we try. Come on, let’s go," she said, pulling me out of the house.
The boys and I stood in Jack Wills, thinking of a plan to bail us out.
"Isn’t it obvious? We all run at the door at the same time and it will break open!" Zayn suggested.
"No! We’ll hurt ourselves like crazy!" I exclaimed.
"Has anyone else noticed that the dogs or smoke the thief mentioned haven’t come out yet?" Harry asked.
"You’re right.. it may happen soon," I answered.
"Guys you’re all being stupid! We obviously need to go through the vents!" Niall exclaimed.
"I think Niall just said something really smart," Zayn said.
"What? About the vents? They do that in every superhero movie!"
"Maybe not every, but THANK YOU NIALL!" I yelled.
The boys and I quickly went into a group hug. I smiled, my friends were amazing.
"Come on, let's go," Louis said, breaking away from the hug.
Harry stood on the chair he had been sitting on and broke the vent open. Almost instantly, green smoke began emerging out of it.
"What-is-this?" Harry said, coughing. He coughed about two more times and then passed out on the floor, falling off the chair.
"Harry! No!" Louis screamed.
"Everybody cover your mouths!" I yelled, holding my breath. Suddenly, two large bulldogs broke through a wall in the back and began running towards us. I stared at them in horror. "GRAB HARRY AND RUN!" I screamed as Niall and I grabbed his arms and Zayn and Louis grabbed his legs. We quickly began running through the store as fast as we could, avoiding the dogs and the smoke as best we could.
Megan and I ran up to Jack Wills front entrance. I saw that all the lights were on, but no sign of the boys. I grabbed the doors and tried yanking them open, but they wouldn't budge.
"They're locked!" I exclaimed.
"Give me your credit card!" I said, holding out my hand.
"Lily, this isn’t time for shopping!"
"No, I know how to open a door with a credit card!" I told her.
She slowly handed it to me saying, "Ok, just don't break it."
"No promises," I told her, picking the lock.
About ten seconds later, we saw the boys running inside with Harry in their arms being chased by two large dogs.
"Hurry up!" Megan yelled.
"Almost... Got it!" I said, quickly opening the door.
"Let's go!" Megan exclaimed as we ran inside. "Guys?"
"Where are you?" I yelled. We all heard various screams coming from the guys, but I couldn't find them. "Come on!" I said, pulling Megan around the store.
We began running from aisle to aisle, but we couldn't find them. I hated running, but I had to keep in mind that there were two large dogs that might just rip us apart. After about five minutes, Megan and I found all five boys passed out on the ground.
"Guys!" I screamed.
Suddenly, the room grew cold and the lights went out.
I recognized the voice almost instantly. I gasped as I turned around to find the thief behind me.
