Up All Night

Hey. I'm Bella and it's the 23rd of April 2014. You know what that means don't you? I'm 14 today!

My alarm went off at 6:30pm as normal. I thought today was going to be perfect. I thought it was going to be the best day of my life. For my 13th birthday, I had a small party and a sleepover with Jessica and Cloe. My mum was awfully obsessed with getting us to sleep before midnight. It's not fair, Cloe and Jessica's parents don't care. Their parents give us a few bags of sweets, a few films and walk out of the room and leave us. My mum nags us all about why sleep is so important and that we'd all die without it. Then she tells us how bad sweets are for our health and teeth and gives us apples as a snack!

'But mum! It's a sleepover, not a fitness club. Can't you let us have some privacy and at least let us stay up until 1'.

She never gives in though. It's so unfair. I wish she wasn't my mum. I wish I could be adopted! But be careful what you wish for. Wishes can come true...
