1. Prologue: Tony
I first saw Tasha in an alley. I could only see the back of her in the dim yellow street light. She was wearing a dark hoodie and black skinny jeans to blend in with the dark background. She looked nervous, constantly looking around to see if anyone was following her. She was alone- well apart from the various drug dealers that were dotted around, lurking in the shadows. Watching her from my dad’s flat had to be the most exciting thing I’d done that day. I’m Tony by the way, anyway less about me and more about her. She was walking up to one of the dealers at the far end of the alley. She dropped what looked like money into his hand. In return he gave her a bag on white powder. “So she is a druggie then” I thought to myself. She turned around and I caught a glimpse of her face. She had dark, wavy hair which fell well past her shoulders, wide brown eyes and a good figure. She looked about sixteen, my age. She looked terrible though. I hid quickly behind my blue football curtains as she looked around. The next time I dared to peep from behind my curtains she had vanished.
