Today, as I woke up, I heard the obnoxious ring of my phone, it was Muuri, asking me and the rest of the cult via group chat to go to Valley Fair later that day. I replies I would be there and fell back asleep.
*2 hours later*
I woke up late. I did my hair and makeup in 10 minutes, a new record, and ran out the door, yelling goodbye to my mom behind me. I turned 16 a month ago, so I was still adjusting to driving on my own, but it was still scary. As Muuri was too young to drive, I was going to her house to pick her up. 15 minutes later, I arrived at her house, to see her, slightly annoyed, sitting on her porch. She jumped in the passenger seat, gave me a kiss on the cheek, as we were now official, and reversed out of her driveway. Still annoyed, she put her headphones in and zoned out for the trip. We arrived and were going to meet the rest of the cult outside one of the roller coasters, and as we got out of the car, Muuri's eyes lit up as she saw the park. I grabbed her hand, and we ran off into the park. I led her through the park to our destination, she mumbled, "No one else could go, so it's just us", those conniving bastards, I thought to myself, grinning, their new hobby has been us for the past month. I replied, "That doesn't have to be a bad thing", and flashed her a smile. She squeezed my hand, she then started leading me towards the Ferris Wheel, I couldn't resist this opportunity and followed her there. "No lines, nice!", I ecstatically exclaimed. Still wordless, we boarded the wheel, and as we started to go up, she leaned into my shoulder, and in one move I gave her a nice kiss on the lips, meanwhile her smile bled through. As we approached the peak of our ride, she looked over the entire beautiful scene around us, then at me, and gave me a whole hearted hug, while we simultaneously whispered to each other, "I love you", at this we both giggled uncontrollably, and got ready to depart from our first ride. Muuri loved roller coasters, me, not so much, I get really scared on them and scream way too much. But of course, being the adrenaline junkie that she is, started toward the most exhilarating ride in the park. Steel Venom. It started with you hanging from the top, going from 0-100 in a split second, into a spiral and back again in a U shape. As I prepared myself for the ride, she looked at me and said worried, "What's wrong?", to which I replied, "I'm not a roller coaster fan, but anything for you". She smiled her biggest smile at me and continued in the direction of the monstrous metal death machine. I was almost okay until I was strapped in and realized that I was actually riding this. I yelped a slight bit but Muuri didn't seem to notice, and hoping to relieve some of my nerves, I gripped her hand for dear life as the attendant counted down. 5... 4... 3... 2... FWOOSH. THAT SONOFABITCH, HE PULLED IT EARLY, I screamed at the top of my lungs and look over to see Muuri laughing, how is that even possible?! I then realized I was still gripping her hand with the force of a truck, and let go a bit. The ride was slowing down, and I felt as thought I was going to vomit, so as soon as we were unstrapped, I ran to one of the benches and plopped myself down. Muuri ran after me, sat down, and grabbed my hand, and gave me a comforting squeeze. I was about done for the day, so we spent the rest of our time wailing around the park, with the occasional kiss, much appreciated, from Muuri. Still shaken up after being there almost all day, we sat down again to rest our worn out legs. As the sun set, I put my arm around her, she leaned into me, and I nearly fell asleep, with that little pocket of warmth on my side. I looked down to see her nestled in, sleeping, and couldn't help but grin. She was so cute. As I had to drive her home I stayed up while she slept, until closing time came. When the time came, I kissed her on the cheek, and whispered to her, "Time to wake up, cutie", her eyelids slowly opened to reveal her beautiful eyes, and she looked confused and softly said, "When did I fall asleep", I smiled and said, "About an hour ago, I stayed up so we didn't get home late". She slowly smiled back at me and pushed deeper into my side. I said more serious, " We have to go, unless you want to be late", she replied, "Okay, I'll stay here forever", and tried closing her eyes, I was not having her mom mad at me, so I removed my arm from her as she said in a small voice, "noooooo", now that she was awake, I had to guide her, because she was still half asleep, to the car and positioned her in the back seat, buckled her up, and she slumped over, asleep again. I driver her home to see her mom waiting for me, I check my phone, right on time. I wake Muuri up, slightly easier this time, and get her into her house. We kiss goodbye and flash our best parting smiles while I get into my car and back out of her driveway, pleasantly satisfied about how the night turned out.
