Luke opens the car door for me and grins. He's so polite. I close it behind me and watch him jog around the front of the car. He hops into the backseat, and holds my pinkie finger in his. It's a small gesture but it means a lot. It means something, but I can't figure out exactly what he means by it.
The car ride is long. There isn't a quiet moment as we drive for about fifteen minutes to their apartment. I find myself thinking multiple things as we drive on the secluded roads. I would always have feelings for Luke. He was my first love... I knew it was unhealthy for Luke and I to be friends, but I still care about him and Ashton. They are both constantly together, so if I want Luke, I get Ashton and vice versa. I'm scared that if we start again, it will end worse than it did the last time. I also found myself thinking that I wasn't going to just give up on Luke because I still loved and missed him. But the whole situation was entirely messed up. If Luke and I hadn't conceived a child, and I hadn't told Harry first, then maybe things would be different. Luke and I just had to stay friends, because if we started again and ended horribly, it would break me. But also, we worked right up until we didn't. I'm not saying that we're perfect as separate beings, but we are perfect together.
We exit the car. "C'mon, we're going home." He squeezes my hand gently, before getting out of the car. I get out of the car and wait for him. Once he is by my side, Luke leads me into the apartment he shares with Ashton, holding my pinkie the whole way.
"Welcome home." He whispers and I put my head on his shoulder. He drops my hand and wraps his arms around me.
"I'm gonna try something."
"What?" I ask, looking up into his beautiful eyes. He rubs his stubble.
"Us. For tonight. We're gonna see what still exists between us. Ok?"
He is so cute, oh my god. It's all I can do to nod.
I have everything to lose here. He is worth the gamble though.
"I have to tell you something." He looks down at me seriously. "The floor is lava!"
I laugh the hardest I have laughed in two years. He kisses my cheek and taps the back of my thighs with his strong, masculine hands.
I jump, and he catches me, and carries me up the stairs to his old room, the both of us laughing the whole way. Laying me down gently on his bed, he starts to walk off.
"Where are you going?" I ask, still laughing.
He gives me a weird look, as if it was obvious,"I'm going to go get some chocolate and ice cream and then we are going to watch Netflix and eat all night."
How the hell did I ever leave this man, this man who I still can't hide my feelings from, because like the fool I am, I love him. I'm scared of being hurt again, because honestly, that's all that's been happening recently. Luke comes back with a t-shirt and a pair of boxers.
"I thought this would be more comfy than jeans." He laughs.
"You happen to be right."He grins at me. I don't even care about him being there, I just take my shirt off and throw his shirt on, and then the boxers. Luke's cheeks burn a lovely shade of crimson as he practically races to the kitchen. A couple of minutes later, he comes back with his arms full of goodies.
I pat the spot next to me, and so he joins me, dumping all the stuff on the bed. I put my legs over him, and he wraps an arm around me, pulling me closer.
"Ice cream?" He offers.
I laugh and nod, as he turns on the TV. Luke hands me a random carton of ice cream, just as the movie starts playing.
"Really Luke? Mean Girls?"
He laughed and shrugs,"What? I'm cute, it's fine."
I lay my head down on his shoulder and we sit there for a while, watching the stupid movie take place before us. I want to tell him so badly because it's the truth.
"I never stopped loving you." He suddenly whispers.
"I know. I didn't either."
Silence. He looks at me and I look at him, and in this moment, we are free.

I spend two days in their apartment. I don't want to leave, and they haven't ask me to. Luke looks at me as we snuggle deeper into his bed.
"So I was invited to a party tonight. Want to come with me?"
I smile at him and kiss his cheek. "I would love to."
"What kind of party is it?"
"It's themed. Great Gatsby."
"I AM SO EXCITED!"

Three hours later, I am dressed in a long light golden dress that is lightly beaded. Luke called in a favor with a designer to get himself a tuxedo and I got a beautiful dress out of the deal. Taking my hand, he leads me out of his old bedroom. Let me just tell you, Luke Hemmings in a tuxedo is very very very very very attractive. He is one beautiful human. His hair was loosely up in his usual style and for once, he was wearing dress shoes!
He studies me for a second before starting to walk down the stairs.
"Emma, you look beautiful." Luke grins, kissing me on the cheek.
"Thank you Luke. You don't look so bad yourself!" I laugh, taking in his sleek look.
He used to refuse putting pants on, let alone a tuxedo. He's grown up, he's so different.
"I know, I look pretty good in a monkey suit, don't I?"

We arrived at around nine, and I am so happy just to be around him. He's just a ball of sunshine. After four hours of fake smiling and laughing, I am officially done. Luke left to get us some drinks, but hasn't returned for twenty minutes. I needed a glass of champagne and it seemed like Luke wasn't coming back anytime soon.
What was taking him so long?
Hey everyone! Your girl is back! Still editing everything, so it's a bit short. So sorry for being gone! To make it up to you all, would you like me to create a blog where I write a one-shot scene of Lemma every week? Let me know! xxxR
