"You live here?" Justin's voice cracked as we turned through the gates. I turned back in embarrassment, I had hated the Orphanage ever since we had moved in. Only because Betty had some hate for me, not Jodie, just me. I nodded slowly. "Why?" I scowled.
"I could ask you the same question." I scowled again. He laughed.
"Whatever man...JAXON!" He called as a eleven year old boy ran at him and hugged him. I had seen him around school. "This is Jaxon and this is Selena." I smiled at Jaxon as he turned around. His eyes were red from crying.
"How long have you been here?" He sniffed.
"Around a year." I replied as Justin stared. His dark eyes always intrigued me that's why I always looked down around him. His brother was like his mini double of him, flicked up hair, perfect skin and brown eyes. You could tell he idolised Justin with all his heart. Justin took his hand and headed inside. Betty ran out with a massive smile on her face. Her dark chocolate brown skin brought out the high lights in her hair, and her pearly white teeth.
"Aw, hello Justin." She wrapped her arms around him and swayed backwards and forward. Justin pushed her off slightly and looked back towards me. I dropped my head slightly in return. "Oh, hello Selena." She flicked her hair, and cleared her throat awkwardly.
"Yeah, come on Selena." He held out his hand behind him, waiting for me to grab on. I shuffled forward and looked at his hand. "Don't be shy now." He laughed a little, then his eyes went sharp. I grabbed his hand obediently. He pulled me close and walked me inside.
I sat in my room as I finished my Science homework. Someone knocked quietly on the door.
"Jodie, what did I tell you. After 8-" Justin's head poked through the door with a cheeky smile. My cheeks blushed a pale shade of red. "Oh, sorry."
"You busy?" He asked, as he stepped in.
"Er..." I looked down. "No, come er in." My heart was thudding at a 100mph, I felt my palms starting to sweat. Why did I always get so nervous around him.
"Look, I'm willing to make a deal with you." He shut the door and walked quickly up to my double bed. I swallowed. "If you help me with homework and stuff, you can be my fake girl friend." My eyes widened.
"Fake-fake what?" My throat became dry.
"Girlfriend. School pressure is to hard, and I need to look after to Jaxon and Jazymn." He looked down and up at me.
"I will help you, without being your pretend girlfriend." My voice was a whisper.
"But that gets that chick Betty off my back." He laughed. "She's fit but, na."
"She's like, 20." We both started to laugh.
"Can you atleast be my fake girlfriend here? No kissin' or anything." He laughed. "We gotta a deal?"
"I dunno." He ran over and jumped on the bed.
"You can just hold my hand, I'll hold you from behind, bla bla." My eyes sparkled at the thought.
"I don't know you really, like, I don't know." He grabbed my hand and looked in my eyes.
"I'll come and do homework with you everyday, that means I would get to know you."
"Please?" His eyes glistened and, his face glowed with hope.
