Chapter 9

Cameron's POV: I recently had to leave Magcon for a while until Maya wakes up. The nickname that is given her when I was little was Maya May. She doesn't know something I've been told that I have to tell her. I was suppose to tell her after she turned 16 but I couldn't crush her happiness.

------------------Flash Back---------------------

"Cameron! You didn't tell her!?!?" My mom yelled at me.

"I'm sorry! I didn't want her to be crushed after she turned sixteen!" I responded.

“She should know!” My dad yelled.

“I will! All I need is time!” I responded.

I stormed to my room and slammed my door. I have to tell Maya, but I don’t know how.

-------------------------------------------------Present Day-----------------------------------------------------------

My parents know that Maya still doesn’t know. They want what’s best for her, but we don’t want her going to her real parents. Yes, now everyone knows that Maya is adopted. Her real parents were killed when she was only a month old. That's why my parents want me to tell Maya so badly.

“Cam…” Matt said.

I looked up at him and noticed that he had stopped sobbing, but tears were still falling.

"I have to tell you something, but not in here."

I got up and led Matt to the spot that I had talk to my parents and Nash. I noticed that the staff had out a few table and chairs outside.

"Cameron...please don't get mad at me but I just need to tell you how I feel about Maya..."

"You like her don't you?" I piped in.

"How'd you know?"

“I can see how you look at her while she's in her coma."

"Oh...so you aren't mad that I like her?"

"No, only if you break her heart. Then I have a problem."

We joked around for a little bit, but then my mom called us in to go get something to eat. Even though Matt and I weren't hungry at all.

"Guys...c'mon guys, you have to eat something. You need to eat. Cameron and Matthew, you haven't eaten for days. You need food!"

My mom walked away and I noticed that Matt wasn't sitting across from me anymore. He just, disappeared from my sight. I dialed his number and it rang until I got his voicemail..

“That’s weird...I never get Matt’s voicemail,” I thought.
