4. Chapter Four
It's been a few days since Cameron has texted Matt. He still hasn't shown up and I feel like I should give up. I feel like the more days that he isn't here, the more I start to fade away. I know that I should stay but I don't know if I should without the guy that might be my soulmate. Matts like my second chance. Everyday is MY second chance.
"Maya...someone's here for you," Cameron whispered to me.
I hoped that it was Matthew, but it was his sister. I've met her a few times but we aren't friends. She's my age, maybe a few moths older.
"Amber..." Cameron said.
"What...happened...?" She asked.
"She...she...got into...a car....ac-c-cident...."
Amber looked around and saw Nash sitting there. Her eyes lit up a little bit, but she still looked upset. I saw her walk towards Nash and sit down next to him. Nash put his arm around her and she rested her head on his shoulder. I could see tears slowly falling from her eyes.
“Where’s Matthew…?” I thought. “I feel myself fading away…”
I walked back to the ICU. Nurses were surrounding me and I could feel myself slowly losing my breath. I slid against a wall and my eyes started to close.
Cameron’s POV: All of a sudden a ton of nurses ran to Maya’s room. I ran towards the room and saw them readjusting her machines, and getting her heart back to normal. I don’t want to lose my baby sister. I know that she’s in love with Matthew but Matthew hasn’t noticed that yet. I whipped out my phone and went to Matthew and mine’s conversation. It’s been two days since he said that he was on his way. It then hit me that we were in Cali, and he was in London.
“Oh...Maya….what are we going to do now…?” I whispered as I ran my hand through my hair.
