Nocturnal Bliss

These are a handful of my own original poems that were all written or thought up during very late night times hence the title. These poems can be whatever you want them to be! I hope you enjoy them, constructive criticism most definitely welcome!

1. Perhaps

Perhaps it was the orangy hues,
clouding up my eyes.
Within eternal peace I lie,
focused on the skies.

Forever in a moment,
as the purples turn to black.
I see a world so alone and forgotten,
I never wish to turn back.

I follow your dear voice my love,
beyond that beaten land.
I listen and I begin to see,
a sky as yellow as the sand.

The swirls and twirls of morning,
the birds sing and dance with glee.
For the beauty I am seeing,
surely does make me feel free.

Perhaps it was the orangy hues,
clouding up my eyes.
Although this marvel I now see,
makes me glad to be alive.
