"Get away from me!" I screamed at the top of my lungs as I ran down the street. I felt the tears prickling my eyes and my lip quivering. Why did this have to happen to me? I shouldn't of ever trusted him when I first met him but I did and now look at me. "Mackenzie!" He shouted catching up to me. "Stop! It's done," I cried and kept running. 5. Chapter 5- Explanation

"Mack," Someone whispered in my ear. I furrowed my eyebrows together and sighed. "Mack," They whispered again softly rubbing my stomach. I finally opened my eyes to see Liam smiling at me. "Morning," I croaked and looked over at Kallie who was still fast asleep. "Harry made breakfast," He said holding out his hand for me. We walked into the kitchen where Harry was hunched over the stove. "Do you like eggs?" He turned looking at me, I nodded slowly. Harry handed me a plate with eggs and hash browns on them. "Thanks," I smiled and sat down beside Liam.

After breakfast me and Liam decided to go into the City for coffee. "Starbucks?" He smirked as we drove away from the house. "Sure," I giggled hitting his arm gently.

Once we got there we ordered our drinks and sat down to wait. I was strolling through my phone when our names were called. "I got it babe," Liam smiled and stood from his chair. I smiled as I watched him walk over and get the drinks, he was so muscular. I didn't notice I was staring until he waved a hand in front of my face. " Sorry," I mumbled and took a sip from my drink. "Oh it's fine," He smirked and I rolled my eyes. "So does James know we've been hanging out?" Liam asked slurping his drink. "No," I sighed and continued, "He would be so mad at me." I frowned and took another drink. "Well I think you should tell him, it would be better if he found out from you instead of someone else." He smiled and softly caressed my hand.

We decided to go for a walk around for something to do. "So I need to know more about you," I said holding his hand. "Well ask away," He smiled down at me. "Family?" I questioned looking at the passing people. "Two older sisters, don't talk to them much anymore and my parents don't like me around except for my mother." He said frowning slightly. His isn't wanted by his family? That is so sad, I feel badly nobody should have to feel that. "I'm sorry." I breathed looking up at him. "It's fine, I mean it was my fault." He smirked but I could see a hint of sadness in his eyes. I nodded and kept asking him questions. "First kiss?" I smirked and he shook his head. "7th grade with the school 'Queen'." He explained and I muffled my laughing but I couldn't help it. "The school Queen?" I raised my eyebrows and he nodded proudly. "Okay, I'm out of questions now." I pouted but he looked relieved.

We walked back to his car and drove back to Harry's to pick up Kallie. I felt bad that I just left her there alone with Harry. Liam kept his hand on my knee the whole ride, it was a calming gesture I liked it. "I have to work tonight," He said randomly, I looked at him and nodded. "Does your dad even know about us?" Liam continued and I smiled innocently shaking my head.

When we got back to the house Liam decided to just wait in his car. "Kal!" I shouted when I opened the door. "Coming," She yelled back. I heard footsteps upstairs until Kallie appeared. "Hi," She breathed and grabbed her bag walking past me. "Sorry for leaving," I said touching her arm but she shrugged it off. "It's fine," She smiled as we got into his car.

He dropped Kallie off before me, I hope my dad would be at work. He's going to kill me if he found out I stayed at a boy's house not Kallie's.

"I'll text you after I get off work," Liam smiled and I nodded walking away from his car. I didn't see my Grandma's car around but I did see my dad's. I was totally dead.

"Mackenzie? Is that you?" My dad said when I closed the door. "Yep," I said taking off my shoes. "Mack," He breathed smiling awkwardly at me. I gave him a strange look until I noticed the woman sitting in the living room. I mouthed a 'Who's that?' But he just shook his head telling me to follow. The woman smiled at me as I sat down beside my dad, who is this person?

I just blankly stared at the woman who is apparently my mother. Now that I actually look I do have her eyes and nose. I smiled but quickly wiped it from my face, I don't know her she can't just come back into my life.

"Mack?" My dad said rubbing my back, I looked at him and he looked angry. "What do you want?" I said rudely to her and she gasped. "To know my daughter," She frowned but I rolled my eyes. "No, you can't just leave and then want to know me. I don't want to know you at all everything is fine without you." I stood up and her frown deepen. My dad didn't even defend her, he shouldn't have to considering she left him. "Sarah it's best if you leave," My dad said quietly and she scoffed. "She is my daughter!" Sarah argued but my dad shook his head. "You will never be her mother after leaving us, now get out." My dad said louder, I smiled at how he stood up for us.

"I'm sorry Mack," My dad hugged me but to be honest I wasn't mad at all. "Dad, it's fine. You're right she doesn't have the right to be my mother." I smiled into his chest and he kissed the top of my head. "Well let's hope she doesn't come back," We both laughed and split apart. "I'm going to take a shower," I announced walking straight into the bathroom.

After my shower I still felt tired, and in all honesty sleep is all I wanted. I put on a pair of pj shorts and a loose shirt before crawling into my bed. It was only 5pm but it felt way later. I sighed when my head hit the pillow.

"Mack!" My dad's voice roared through the house, my eyes shot open as I raced for the stairs. "Dad?" I panted as I saw him sitting with sweat across his forehead. "I'm sorry, I thought I heard something." He said laying back down. "Is everything okay?" My voice cracked because I just woke up. "Yes sweetie, come here." He held open his arms and I walked over to him. He gave me a warm hug before telling me to go back to bed. When I got back up to my room I checked the time, it was only 8. I wasn't as tired as I was before so I thought to just stay up for a little bit longer.

I opened my laptop and scrolled through my Facebook and I know this sounds creepy but I crept on Liam's profile. Like come on what girl doesn't do this once to their crush or boyfriend or is it just me? I smiled at all of the pictures he had of all of his friends and family. My heart dropped when I looked at the last picture, it was of him and his family but a gravestone. The caption read 'RIP we will always love you.' I frowned and read the comments, many with sorrys and they are in a better place. I read the stone which must be a relative, it had loving grandfather, son and father. I frowned, this must be his grandpa, why wouldn't he of told me? Maybe I was thinking into too much, but I feel bad about this. Just as I closed Facebook my phone vibrated, I grabbed it swiftly looking at the sender. Liam. He said that he wants to hang out tomorrow, I smiled and replied before shutting off my phone.
