Falling For You

Matt Healy, your typical guy. The type that likes to impress people, he'd do anything to get attention.

No matter how important the next few years ahead were, he didn't care. All he cared about was writing.

By writing, I don't mean the author type. I mean the singer, songwriter. He'd always had a thing for writing songs.

Obviously, he was one of the popular guys in the university he was now attending.

He'd taken a variety of subjects and courses for the few years he'd be spending in this place, one of the main ones being music.

At first, he thought the whole idea of attending a university was ridiculous, he didn't think that he'd get anything out of it.

It all begins to change when the year starts and he meets new people. He makes new friends, and enemies, but there's a certain person that catches his eye.

9. chapter nine

Matt's POV;

We'd been sat in the same place for at least 20 minutes now, speechless. It's not like there was a problem with it being so quiet though, in fact, it was nice.

Although the situation wasn't exactly great, the way we were being at the minute, it was really nice.

My arm was still around her, pulling her close to my chest, holding her. Letting her know that I'm here and that I'll always be here.

What her parents have done to make her the way she is now, that's wrong. Like I said previously, she deserves a chance to live a little, not just live up to her parents expectations.

"Come on, let's get you back to your room." I whispered, slowly standing up, pulling her, what seemed to be lifeless body with me.

She didn't even speak. Instead, she turned to face me, wrapping her small arms around my neck. I moved mine so that they were around her waist, again, pulling her closer so our bodies were inches apart.

"Why are you being so nice to me?" She spoke, her voice groggy from crying so much.

"What do you expect me to do, Tegan? Do you honestly think I'm the type to leave you alone, like this. I know how you feel. Ok, maybe I haven't experienced what you have, but god, I've had problems with drinking and even smoking so let's be honest, we're on the same page here." I told her, sort of admitting my past to her.

She looked up at me, hurt clearly showing in her eyes. She looked so upset, and that killed me.

All I wanted to do was be there for her. Tell her that everything would be ok and no matter what, I'd always be here, looking out for her.

I'd always be a friend, whatever she wanted me to be, I'd be it. I know I'd only known her for a few days, but seeing her like this, it wasn't right.

After a few minutes of standing still, hugging one another, we finally made a move.

"Do you want me to stay in your room tonight? I can let George know, and he could let Callan know, not like she'd be coming back tonight anyway, I mean, this is Callan we're talking about." I chuckled, trying to make her at least smile.

Luckily, it worked. She let a small smile form on her lips, and it was the most perfect thing ever.

I'd never actually realised how beautiful she was. She has a little dimple on the right side of her face whenever she smiles. She's amazing.

"Please." She whispered, answering my question I'd previously asked.

I nodded my head, moving my arm from around her waist, scratching the back of my neck and placing it back around her.

We got back to her room around 10 minutes later. It wasn't a long walk. I could notice her fidgeting, looking for the key in her bag, it was quite amusing as I could tell she was getting frustrated.

I took the bag out of her hands, placing it in my own, my left hand roaming through it until I finally found what I was looking for.

I opened the door, letting her walk in first, following closely behind her. I closed the door and switched on the light as she walked over to her bed.

"I can go and stand in the bathroom whilst you change if you like." I smiled, respecting her privacy.

"It's ok, just turn around." She laughed, the first laugh I'd heard off her for at least a few hours.

I listened and turned my head, looking down at the floor, keeping my eyes shut for a good 5 minutes.

I opened my eyes, turning my head. It was the wrong decision though as she was still in the middle of getting changed.

"Shit, sorry!" I shouted, instantly covering my eyes with my hand as I stared directly at the blue lace underwear that was covering her.

"Oh my god." She squealed, her face turning red in embarrassment.

"Considering you're all innocent, I wouldn't expect you to be the type to wear that sort of underwear." I winked, looking her up and down again.

"Shut up." She glared.

"Oh, you're becoming less posh by the minute. Telling me to shut up now instead of be quiet." I smirked, walking over to her.

Her small body moved backwards, but sadly for her, she didn't have far to go before hitting her back against the wall.

I moved so our bodies were touching. I knew this was a bad idea, but who cares.

I wrapped my arms around her waist, biting my lip, looking her body up and down again.

"What are you doing?" She whispered, her voice becoming shaky.

"Do you trust me?" I asked.

"In theory." She mumbled.

I just stared at her. Moving closer, our lips inches apart.

"Don't." I whispered, crashing my lips down on hers.

I somewhat didn't regret it. I didn't even want to consider pulling apart from her.

Part of me expected her to pull away, and slap me across the face, then look at me with disgust, but I was wrong.

Instead, her arms were around my neck, and her legs were almost wrapped around my waist.
