1. My trip to London

My trip to London in October 2012 is my best holiday so far. It’ll probably change when I arrive at Melbourne Airport in Australia this July, but I still think about London every single day and I really want to go back.

In London my Mum and I did lots of different things at lots of different places. The first day we went to Madame Tussaud’s wax cabinet on Baker Street. There were many famous people in there including Michael Jackson, Johnny Depp, Barack Obama and Adolf Hitler. All the wax figures looked so real!

After Madame Tussaud’s we went to see Big Ben. It was tall, much taller than I had expected it to be. After that we went to try the London Eye. It was huge! We got into a gondola with five Germans. The view from the top was amazing! Especially because it was dark outside. We could see the Houses of Parliament and a big part of the River Thames from up there. We took lots of pictures and we bought souvenirs from the souvenir shop as well.

The next day we went to see Buckingham Palace, which is the Queen’s residence. The castle was incredibly beautiful. Next, we went down ‘The Mall’ and continued to Trafalgar Square. Trafalgar Square is where the world premiere of the last Harry Potter film took place. In the square there are two giant fountains and a tall pillar with a figure of Lord Nelson on top. Afterwards we took a train to Leavesden Studios where the Warner Bros. Studio Tour is located. Warner Bros. Studio Tour – The Making of Harry Potter is a behind-the-scenes walking tour that features authentic sets, costumes and props from the Harry Potter series. You can see most of the sets from the films at the Studio Tour and you can also buy souvenirs. I bought a wand, a cloak, a chocolate frog, a box of jellybeans and a cup of Butterbeer. The tour was awesome! It was the greatest experience of my entire life. Even my mother thought that it was exciting and she hasn’t even watched Harry Potter.

In the evening we went shopping at Oxford Street. We had a milkshake at Starbuck’s Coffee and then we went back to the hotel.

These three days have been the best days of my life so far. I want to go again so badly.
