Crash of Olympus

Delia Nelson is new to Camp Half-Blood. She doesn't understand why no one ever told her "Hey, you're a demigod." if so many people knew about her. And the whole Greek Mythology thing never really intrigued her. But now, she has to adjust to a new life full of it. Especially because her parent is a god or goddess. On top of all that, everyone at camp is freaking out because some "Great Prophecy" seems to be happening right before their eyes. Only the prophecy isn't really that great, and it could involve a lot of deaths. And of course, Delia has something to do with it.

3. Chapter 3

**Delia** (words in bold are supposed to be in Italics, they my button for it didn't work.)

"I think you'll like him." Annabeth said.

Apparently there was a kid named Percy, and he was a big shot around here. Everyone knew who he was except for me. I guess that's ok though, because I was new.

Annabeth took me to Cabin 3. A trident hung above the door.

"Poseidon?" I asked.

She didn't bother knocking, she just barged right in.

A boy- I'm assuming he was Percy- looked back calmly, as if he was used to this. His hair was dark black, and he had green eyes. He was cute, in a way, but I would never like him. It would be wrong because it's Annabeths boyfriend, and I don't do things like that to people. I'm nothing like my-

"Who's this?" Percy asked, looking at me.

"I'm Delia."

"Hey, Percy? Can you do me a favor?" Annabeth questioned.

"Would you please take Delia to look for a weapon. She needs something and I don't have the time to take her."

"Sure." He said again.

She looked at me then gave Percy a look. He put his hands up and Annabeth turned to leave. She stopped in the doorway, looking at me one last time, then sighed, leaving Cabin 3.

"So. You're new to camp half blood?"

"Yeah, I'm not really sure when I got here."

"I was told I passed out when I got inside the borders. Nico brought me to the infirmary when he found me."

"Huh, I thought I would've heard about that. Well. Welcome to camp. Do you know who your dad or mom is yet?"

"It's my dad. And I'm not sure. I hope it's someone cool like, Zeus, or maybe Apollo."

Percy chuckled, then got up quickly. He clapped his hands unnecessarily loud.

"Let's go get you a weapon." He said, after he stretched.

Nothing in here seemed to be right.

"What about this?" Percy asked. He dangled a dagger.

"No, I don't like daggers." I said.

He groaned then put it back down.

"You have to pick something!"

"I will."

I looked around some more, passing a bow, and spear.

Something gleamed as the light hit it. I moved back some weapons and saw a teal bracelet sitting on the shelf, no dust on it at all. The bracelet looked brand new, and I wanted it.

"What's this?" I asked Percy.

"Well, Delia. That's a bracelet."

"No, I mean what weapon is it, dummy."

"I don't know, let's hope it's not a dagger."

I looked at it for a while, then put it in my wrist.

"How would you make it change?"

"Twist it?"

Nothing happened.

"Annabeth said that some things are voice activated, or something like that. Do you know any Greek words?"

"But you're a Greek demigod, right?"

"I guess so, I don't really know." I shrugged.

"Try saying change in Greek."

"I don't know--metanoeó"

"See." Percy smiled. "You know Greek."

I looked down at the bracelet, but it was still you know...a bracelet.

"That's how you say transgression." Percy said with a slight grin.

"Oh. Metamorphoó?"

The bracelet glowed brighter. I had to cover my eyes- with the hand without the bracelet- so I wouldn't go blind. I heard something fall to the ground with a 'clang'

Once the light was gone, I looked on the ground to see a beautiful sword laying on the floor. I cautiously picked it up, examining every detail about it. It's handle was expertly crafted, with little designs on it. The metal shined bright, like the bracelet.

"Do you like it?" Percy asked.

"'s perfect."

"And do you feel like you can fight with it?"

I nodded.

"Ok, make it a bracelet again."

"Metamorphoó." It glowed again, but not as bright.

When the light faded, I was holding a bracelet again.

"Cool." I mumbled.

"I'm glad you found something you liked. And that we can leave."

"So, what do I do if I'm not claimed? Which cabin would I sleep in?"

"Hermes cabin," Percy explained. "But you shouldn't worry about that. He'll probably claim you tonight during the campfire or Capture the Flag."

"Capture the Flag? Oh my God...I mean gods? Whatever. I love that game!"

"We play it a little differently."

"Really, how do you guys play it?"

"You'll need your weapon, and some armor. I guess you can be on my team. We're the blue team and we can go look for the flag, if you want. I usually do that by my self, so it would be nice to have someone help."

"Oh, that sounds lovely."

"Don't worry. You probably won't die."

I thought for a second. "Do I need to train?"

"Nah, you'll be fine."

"Are you sure? I've never fought with a sword before. Or with any type of weapon..."

"You won't need to."

I really hope he wasn't just doing this to humiliate me, but I was pretty sure he wasn't that type of person.

"And, do you really think that my dad will claim me?"

"Yeah. I mean, if you were my kid, I would have claimed you already. You're pretty cool. And besides, you're thirteen. So they have to, or they have to soon."

"Ok...I hope you're right."
