Crash of Olympus

Delia Nelson is new to Camp Half-Blood. She doesn't understand why no one ever told her "Hey, you're a demigod." if so many people knew about her. And the whole Greek Mythology thing never really intrigued her. But now, she has to adjust to a new life full of it. Especially because her parent is a god or goddess. On top of all that, everyone at camp is freaking out because some "Great Prophecy" seems to be happening right before their eyes. Only the prophecy isn't really that great, and it could involve a lot of deaths. And of course, Delia has something to do with it.

14. Chapter 14

"Alright, Valdez. Open up." Percy banged on the door.

I quickly opened it, my bag in hand.

"Hey, Perce."

"Yeah. I need to talk to you."

"About what?"

"I know you. I know how you are."

"What're y--"

"Delia is my little sister. And I know how you fall in love with every single girl you meet. As long as they're out of your league, and let me tell you, she's way out of your league."

"If you do anything stupid that hurts her in any way- emotionally, mentally, physically, I will torture you to the point that you would wish you were dead. Is that clear?"

I swallowed hard. "Crystal."

"Now, that doesn't mean I'm giving you permission to date her. I'm just giving you a warning. I'm not letting you date her, Leo. And if you ever do, I swear on the River Styx, that if you hurt my little sister, I will hurt you in ways you wouldn't imagine."

"O-okay. I understand.."

"I'm not even sure f I approve with you liking her."

"I'm not sure I do, either." I murmured.

"Nothing. We should get going. Where's..."

I didn't want to say her name, because Percy might kill me right then and there.

"She's in the cabin getting dressed still. Don't get any ideas." He took my bag. "You coming?"

"I have to check on something first."

"Well, hurry up. We don't have all day."

"Right. Yes, sir."

I darted into the cabin while Percy turned to go to say goodbye to Annabeth.

I checked under my pillow to make sure it was still there. Sure enough, the picture of my mom and I together was still on my bed. I picked it up and observed it one last time before setting it back down.

I turned to leave the cabin, but went back to my bed, picked up the picture, and tucked it into my back pocket.

It might've been a little kid move, but I liked sleeping with a picture of my mom close by. And that was the only thing I had left of her, other than memories. And I knew those could be ripped away from me just as easily as my mother was.

I quickly left the cabin, and turned to go to the Big House. On the way there I stopped by Delia's cabin.

"Are you in here?"

"Yeah. I'm just in my room."

I grinned as I knocked on the door and opened it slightly.

"You decent?" My hand was over my eyes.

(A/N: I Decided to bring this back from MoA--except he isn't peeking because of that unexpected conversation with Percy.)

"What? My eyes are covered!"

"Still. Keep the door shut until after you ask if I'm decent and wait for me to answer."

"Alright then."

I closed the door, knocked, then asked. "Are you decent?"

"Yes, Leo."

"Yes. Thank you."

"You're welcome. Are you almost ready?"

"Gods, your just about as bad as Percy. I just have to get a few more drachmas and I'll be ready."

A few minutes later, the Leo and I were standing with Percy, Annabeth, Nico, and Piper to say goodbye.

Percy was kissing Annabeth for what seemed like the hundredth time, Piper and Leo were talking, and Nico and I were standing there looking at each other awkwardly.

"So. The quest is starting." He said.

"Still nervous?"

"More like mortified now."

He smiled. "Be safe, okay?"

(A/N: teehee)

I give him a hug.

Piper waved me over.

"Hey, Lia."

"Hi, Pipes."

"Don't die, please."

"Oh, wow. Sincere."

"Sorry. I just don't want you to leave. And if you see Aphrodite, when she starts talking to you, just nod and pretend like you know what she's talking about. And if she tries to give you a make over, run."

"Will do." I laughed.

"Between me and you. I'd keep an eye on Percy and Leo."

"How come?"

"It's...tense. They're tense. Just try to make them not hate each other."

"Why would they-"

"Leo likes you." She whispered.

"Yeah. Percy knows. Told Leo he'd better watch out and that if he hurt you, he'd kill Leo. Just try to not let Percy kill him."

"I-I'll try. But I'm sure Leo doesn't like me. We're just friends."

"But Leo wants to be more."

"How do you know?"

"Daughter of Aphrodite. Look, just forget I said anything. Good luck on your quest. I'll see you in a few days."

"See you."

We hugged and said goodbye.

As soon as I walked over to Annabeth, she wrapped me in a tight hug. "I'm going to miss you, Delia."

"I'm gonna miss you, too, Annie."

"Hey, while you're out there. Try not to let Percy do anything to stupid, okay? And you better not do anything stupid either. I've already told Percy to look out for you, so I can only ask that you look out for him."

"Trust me, I don't want anything bad happening to him either. I won't let anything kill him. Or hurt him."

A tear fell from her eye.

"Be safe."

"I will."

"Good luck."

"Thank you."

Once again, we hugged, and Percy gave her one last kiss.

We stood atop half-blood hill.

"Are you ready?" Leo asked.

"As ready as I'll ever be."

"C'mon. How bad could it be?" Percy shrugged.

I took a deep breath and stepped outside the safety of the camp, where all of my friends and newfound family were, into the real world where I was alone.

And the first thing I heard was a terrifying screech.

A/N: I honestly don't know what this chapter is. I kinds just threw something together in like 10 minutes. I'm really busy so I'm trying to update like I usually do, but I may not be able to until Thursday. I'm sorry.
