Crash of Olympus

Delia Nelson is new to Camp Half-Blood. She doesn't understand why no one ever told her "Hey, you're a demigod." if so many people knew about her. And the whole Greek Mythology thing never really intrigued her. But now, she has to adjust to a new life full of it. Especially because her parent is a god or goddess. On top of all that, everyone at camp is freaking out because some "Great Prophecy" seems to be happening right before their eyes. Only the prophecy isn't really that great, and it could involve a lot of deaths. And of course, Delia has something to do with it.

13. Chapter 13

Percy thought it would be best if Annabeth came with us on the quest. She had a lot of experience, Percy had said, and really was mature and good at these things.

Honestly, I think it's because it's his girlfriend.

So there I was standing in front of the whole camp while everyone was down on their knees bowing to me. I felt really awkward hearing their whispers about me being a daughter of Poseidon. A lot of campers were glancing over at Percy, who was smiling like a maniac. Annabeth was with him and glanced up to smile at me. Piper was standing with a blonde guy, who was about the same height as Percy. He was also cute in the Percy way, the way that's kinda like "you're cuteish, but I'd never like you that way." I spotted Nico standing with Hazel and some other buff kid. He looked don't judge me for this...Chinese.

Chiron stood up from his position and everyone else followed his lead. He proceeded to tell everyone about the quest, which led to more mumbles and not very convincing shocked looks on Pipers, Annabeth's, Percy's, and Nico's faces.

"Who are you going to bring with you?"

"Um...I guess I'll bring Percy, and--"

Leo ran up to the front. "Did I miss it? She hasn't picked yet, right?"

"Chica, please. You won't regret it. I promise I'll try to be less annoying and more serious. Please let me go." He whispered, his hand grasping my wrist.

"I'm bring Percy and Leo." I told Chiron.

"Are you sure this is who you want with you?" Chiron asked.

Leo looked at me with his best 'please Delia!' Eyes ever.

"I guess."

"Alright. Good luck on your quest Delia Nelson, Percy Jackson, and Leo Valdez."

Annabeth looked at me with sad eyes, probably because Percy was going on a quest without her. I wanted to bring her, but Leo showed up right before I could. And there was no way I was going to tell Leo he couldn't go.

"You'll start tomorrow morning."

I swallowed hard. "Alright."

"Do you have everything packed?"

"I have my stuff. I'm not sure about Valdez and Percy."

"You need to work on that." Chiron said. "We'll move you into the Poseidon cabin immediately."

I nodded. "Thank you Chiron."

"Your welcome dear. Have a nice night. Curfews at 11:00. Goodnight everyone."

Everyone left with only a few people lingering. Leo looked up at me excitedly.

"So. We're going on a quest together, huh?"

"Yeah. You can let go of my wrist now."

"Right." He said, stuffing his hands in his pockets.

"Delia?" Connor asked, stepping up to where I was standing. "Would you mind if Travis and I helped you move cabins?"

I smiled. Sure all I had to move was, like, two outfits and a hoodie, but if they really wanted to help, they could.

"Sure, guys, why not?"

"Okay. Just tell us when you're ready."

"I'm ready when you guys are."

"Well I see that you're talking to your bo--"

"Travis Stoll, if you say one more word on that subject, I will personally take this sword and shove it up yo--"

"Alrighty, well let's get to moving." Connor laughed, pushing Travis and I along. "See you later, Leo."

"Bye, Curly!" I called over my shoulder. "I'll talk to you later!"

"Bye, Chickadee!"

"Aw, you two are so cute." Travis grinned."

"I hate you." I stuck my tongue out at him.

He stuck his tongue out too. "I'm sure you do."

After we laid my two outfits on my new bed- I was wearing the hoodie- Travis and Connor asked if I wanted to prank the Ares or Aphrodite kids. I once again said no because I knew better than to prank the Ares kids, and Piper was my friend.

"I'm just a few cabins away guys. Your acting like you'll never see me again."

Connor was hugging me so tight, I thought I might explode. Or suffocate.

"Ohmygodsyoureleavingusfrenchfrydontleaveusgirl." (Translation: Oh my gods you're leaving us French fry don't leave us girl.)

"French fry? What are you calling me that now?"

"Yes. It's suitable."

Travis tugged on my hair. "Has your hair always been this brown?"

"Ow! Travis. Yes. It's always been that brown. And Connor. I'm having trouble breathing."

"Has it always been this wavy? Like, I always thought it was straighter." I could hear the smile in his voice as he tugged on my hair yet again.

"I don't want you to leave though, French fry. This is the last time I'll ever see you until tomorrow morning."

"That reminds me." I managed to break free of Connors hug. "I need to sleep."

"Aw, but French Fry."

I shoved both of them playfully.. "Get out you freaks."

"Ouch." Connor said.

"Oh and your eyes. Have they alw-"

"Shut up and go to your cabin." I giggled.

"Fine, fine."

Within a matter of minutes, Percy was in the cabin. The only he did to show that he knew I was there, was raise a hand, as if he was waving. He then grabbed a shirt and some shorts, changed into those-- at lease he managed to go somewhere I couldn't see him-- and fell onto his bed. A few minutes later, I heard his soft snores which eventually caused me to fall asleep.

The next morning, I woke to Percy shaking me violently.

"Mmmm." I tried to roll away.

"Wake up, little sister."

"I don't wanna."

"We have a quest to do."

"No." I cautiously opened one eye. "It's still dark out, Perce. Let me sleep a few more days."

"It's 8:00 you're looking at the wall. C'mon. Get up."

I sighed and pushed Percy off of me. "Fine. I'm getting up."

Percy looked at me like I was the funniest thing he's ever seen. "I'm gonna go pack, so...when I get back you need to be dressed so we can go get Leo."

He left the room and I fell back onto the bed. "So sleepy."

A few minutes later, I heard Percy laugh. "You're impossible."

He grabbed my foot, and before I could react or grab something, he pulled me on the floor.

"Let me sleep!"

"No. We have places to be." He threw a shirt at me. "C'mon, princess."

"Princess?" I opened one eye again.

"Yeah. You're acting like one."

"No I'm not."

"Are too."

"Am Not."

"Are Too."

"Am not."

"Are too."

"Don't call me princess."

"Fine. Just get dressed...princess."

He stuck out his tongue, and went outside. "I'll be back in ten minutes. And Leo will be with me."

"Okay. Fine. I'm up."
